Title: Record Transmanche carryings
Description: More good news!

Gary Andrews over on FoNE links to a French press article in which it states that in the week commencing 14 Jan 08 a record 1135 freight vehicles were carried on the route, justifying the reason for increasing from two daily round trips to three. :D
Of course, Murphy's or Sods' law then comes into it, and 7S is damaged leaving Newhaven in bad weather. Now in Dunkirk undergoing urgent repairs. :(

Great news for TM - they seem to carry much more freight then car passengers - is there an obvious reason for this?
Bad news about 7S - how was she damaged? I guess Newhaven-Dieppe is running on a reduced schedule for now.

Blimey, news of that one slipped under my radar.
Chow for now - Over and Out. I've a plane to catch tomorrow morning.

My radar failed too, and I'm only a mile away. Nothing in the press, though I haven't had the local rag this week.
CDA operating 2 rotations each day for the moment.

Still far too quiet here!
Just to say that 7S has been back for a bit now. Traffic seems to be busy and the lorry park was jam packed again a couple of nights ago. Stream of trucks coming out through the gate from the just arrived ship, and a very good load ready to drive down to the ramp.
