Title: Sign of the times

I know we've talked about the tatty bon voyage sign at Newhaven a few times, but did you know it's been replaced this year? At Last! :D

And a Happy New Year to you all!

Hurrah!
Certainly looks a bit neater than the scruffy old one. Is there no mention of Transmanche on there just the LD Lines logo?
Does that almost imply the name might not be around for much longer? :o

I would presume so - usually ferry companies would be keen to get their names onto the new ferry port sign, I presume, and I would assume that it would of been LD that submits both the TM logo and the LD logo for the sign - therefore I think that Transmanche is soon to be no longer

All the other signs do have both names, guys. I think the contract specifies that the TM name stays. I' sure LD would have preferred to have the LD brand and livery everywhere, but the TM name is pretty well established too.

Hmmm ok, but maybe those are the old signs which have LD and Transmanche logos on, and the new ones just having the LD Lines logo

I think we'll just have to sit back and watch events unfold regarding the two brand names this year.
