Title: New(ish) Look

Julian - July 31, 2007 11:41 AM (GMT)
Hi
I hope you all like the new look. As always - it's a 'work in progress', and as always, any feedback or suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

Wow, the font has changed, and the green background!

Problem 1 - on my screen the forums no longer fit on to the full screen and it takes about three-screen scroll lenghts to get to the width of it.

Yup, I also have that problem. I've got the Invision guys onto it. :)

2.Problems with the forum homepage menus stretching too far to the right, making you need to use the scroll bar will be rectified shortly.

Sorry guys, this is awful. OK you have the scroll-across problem, and that can be solved, but I can't read some of the smaller fonts. And that's on a 19" TFT wearing glasses!

Please, please change it back!

The CSS has sort of gone strange and we've ended up with a forum wider than John Prescott but hopefully it will be rectified soon along with other details.

Thanks for the feedback - I'll have a look into a different font - this font was never going to be permanant anyway.

Latest:
I've made such a mess off the new look, that I've decided to do it another time.

But it's still too wide...

Daniel - July 31, 2007 08:48 PM (GMT)
Wow, I see what you mean by too wide. I just tried it on Internet Explorer and I see what you mean. I normally use Firefox and it's fine on that.

Its no better on Apple Safari either. Anyway bear with us everyone and hopefully our newfound John Prescott-width forums can be returned to normal size.

Thanks to Invisionfree's advice and some messing around from your *boasts* wonderful *boasts* Admin team, hopefully the boards are back to normal. :D

It isn't fixed for me. I've lost the right hand side of the page, and I've got no scroll bar at the bottom of the page. Changing my screen settings doesn't help either...

Can you send a screenshot to ukfe@hotmail.co.uk please Paul and I'll see what's going on.

We're in the same boat, Paul. :S

Providing I don't use the Favourites bar etc, it all fits on perfectly at 1280x1024.

Mines not brilliant either - it's too wide!

Daniel - August 2, 2007 04:16 PM (GMT)
Does anyone else see these boxes above the UKFE logo? Upon hovering over them mine says something about Changing the width. When I click mine nothing happens, but does anyone else get any result from this?

(Hurrah, the upload thingy worked today!)

Yep I get them I'm in the process of sorting everything though so bear us.

Paul - August 3, 2007 07:31 AM (GMT)
Well, whilst the page still doesn't fit the screen, I have, at least, got the scroll bar now.

Cheers

Hehe, the only thing i've ever successfully fixed on this forum :P

I've got to the bottom of this problem - we've got to make the logo smaller.
Obviously I won't manage this until after I get back from France, so if anyone else wants to do it, then their very welcome to :)
