Title: Oh dear, I need your help....
Matthew - July 23, 2007 10:11 AM (GMT)
Right. I need everyone's help for once. When I go back to school I've got a Media project to do which involves different time eras, and I need all of you to suggest one song which defines the time periods below, one which instantly akes you think of that era. Have fun and thanks for helping (if you do ;) )
50s
60s
70s
80s
90s

Erm.. I'm sure I'll get ideas soon enough but for now all I can think of is Prince with 1999.

Are you sure that's not more appropriate for this year? :P

Here's what I'd go for
50s - Somethin by Elvis (I'd go with Hound Dog)
60s - The Beatles - Sargent Pepper
70s - Boomtown Rats - I don't like Mondays (or Rat Trap...ya Rat Trap is better)
80s - Hmm, Pink Floyd, no scratch that, Do they Know it's Christmas, I know it's not the right time of year, but the song, it lead to so much...
90s - Some Stone Roses or something, music went down hill for a bit there...

90s = Steps,Boy Zone,You could do U2 for all of those,Jamiroquai-the best band around then, and I still think his music is some of the best around.

Take That at the moment are OK - I wouldn't buy their album, but I paid 79p to download 'Shine' - its not a bad song - and Morrisons must think so
Seriously - Jamiroquai. At one point I lived and slept Jamiroquai. But now he's gone. So I can remember him by listening to his music "I just want to, runaway" <_<
