Ahh, memories. I love the power surge when the throttle is opened and the craft rises up. The first time I think I wondered how much higher we were going to go as we just kept going!
Great video - I'm ashamed to say I am unsure as to whether I went on a Hovercraft - this was before I was 'into' ferries - I either went on a Hovercraft or a Superseacat - I think it was in summer 2001? And all I can remember is it was very loud,rough, and we overtook a P&O Stena ferry - I think it may of been the year P&O Stena changed to P&O ...
I'm unsure :S

It was a Superseacat - Hovercrafts ceased operation in 2000. P&O Stena also became P&O again in October 2002, having lasted 4 years.
