Title: Does RPF come under what we can discuss on here?
Description: Discussion

So I was answering the post about pimping the boards elsewhere and I was trying to think of Torchwood-centric comms I run and can post to, and I run the Torchwood RPF comm. I know a lot of people don't like RPF - I know there are about a million reasons why not - but I was wondering if the writing of Torchwood actor RPF was also under the things we could discuss here?

I think this is the right place for this question *hopes*

Hm. I'm going to move this to the suggestions board, talk with a few people, and get back to you, okay?

Okay, so, here is our answer:

This is a board to discuss writing Torchwood, so I don't think RPF falls under that category. Jbs_teeth and I don't have a problem with you starting a thread to chat about it in the off-topic section, so if people want to avoid it, they can, but I don't think it has a place in the general writing threads.

That said, if you have a general question (a bar in cardiff where GDL and JB could meet?), you can still ask it in non-RPF terms. But general discussion of RPF should stay out of the writing threads.

How's that?

Thanks for the answer.

The main reason I asked the question is that at least in Torchwood fandom (and some others) there doesn't seem to be a set of "only RPF writers" in that if they write RPF, they write Torchwood fic as well so there would be some cross-pollination.

Again thank you for your answer and it sounds a good solution.
