Stormark-Talamthom Land Exchange

Your Excellency,

I have read that Talamthom is looking for a suitable island on the MCS map. Talamthom would therefore like acquire the big island next to Stormark's mainland. I would indeed be willing to exchange the island for other land on the MCS map.

I would like to propose the following:

Talamthom claims the purple land on map I below and exchanges that land with Stormark by means of a Treaty for the green islands on map II. I would also like to name the said possible Land Exchange Treaty between Stormark and Talamthom the Shamrock-Longships Treaty.

Just to clarify, as your post was a little confusing (unless i'm reading it wrong). Talamthom would be claiming the green islands in the bottom picture after claiming land elsewhere in the first place. Would the MCS just not let you move anyhow?

Anyways, good to see one of our oldest treaty partners helping out. I will draft a new treaty with you following the successful completion of this land trading business.

That's correct, Your Excellency. Talamthom would first claim the purple land on map I at the MCS. After that land claim is approved by the MCS, Talamthom would cede the purple land to Stormark and Stormark would cede the green islands om map II to Talamthom.

Stormark has an Agreement with the MCS that this Viking Nation will not engage that kind of land trading anymore. This land deal is, however, not under that Agreement because this is simply a matter between two Sovereign Nations that can do anything what they please with their land.

It would indeed be nice to have Talamthom as our neighbour.

After some small consultation it has been decided that the following would be better suited to Talamthom's needs as it is closer to our own map. This map can be seen at www.talamthom.co.uk



Hopefully this will not be too much trouble. If needs be we can organise a domestic football (soccer) league to make up for it!!

Stormark has already agreed to lease two of those islands to the right of the big island to Alexandria. The Land Lease Treaty with Alexandria is, however, not ratified yet. I will go to Alexandria to find whether they would be willing to lease two other islands from Stormark in order to help Talamthom out.

An excellent deal, Your Imperial Majesty! Talamthom would be a great neighbour.

This is good stuff. For all of our history to be correct we rely upon our islands being to the north of our main land mass.

Unfortunatly I'm bound by the provisions of Imperial Decree #33 & Imperial Decree #38 which means:

1) no more direct land claiming with the MCS,

2) no more direct land trades with the MCS.

From the Instrument of Rights and Liberties:

Your Imperial Majesty,

Those Imperial Decrees were made under Article XVII of The Emperor's Code. You may suspend them at pleasure.

Thank you very much for your advise. I have, however, read the response of the MCS and they regard the proposed deal as a deal between two members so both Imperial Decrees do not apply to this deal so it can go on without having to suspend the said Imperial Decrees and without complicated constructions.

As you may know has the MCS approved Stormark's land claim. Stormark will take up the island on the map below in exchange for the islands that it will evacuate in favour of Talamthom.
