Rules

Well, welcome to HSOWW to say the least! Below I have comprised a list of Rules and Guidelines that every member should follow. They are simple, and very hard to break, but with this it'll help keep everyone in line.

This RPG takes place in 2005, AFTER the characters have all left the school.


1.) This site is a PG-13 - R rated RPG. There will indeed be cussing and there will be very intimate moments, which I will speak about later. Cussing is allowed as Most people that I know cuss, so I'm not going to block it from my mind and say that it's unrealisitic for a 14 year old to run around cussing. Hey, they do where I live!

2.) Be polite and courteous to others. I don't want to see any racial/sexual descrimination on this board. It shouldn't matter what color or gender they are since all you will see is their posts.

3.) Sex/Sexuality - Let me say it one time and one time only. It IS allowed. All I ask is not to get very graphic, and that you put up the orange Icon (Below this text box) on the starting thread, and place (Private) under the topic the description. Contact me when all is said and done so I can delete it. As for sexuality, be what you want. I don't care. It's UNrealistic not to allow a gay or bisexual character.

4.) REGISTER BEFORE BEING SORTED. I can't state that enough. Please register with your character name before posting posting in any sorting/application area. You cannot change your username so make sure it is a FIRST and LAST name at least. I will delete without warning if you do not comply (PM me if you did something on accident).

5.) Shops - We have you and you can have one. However, there is a lime to ONE (1) per person, just to keep it fair to everyone else and so that everyone can have one.

6.) Clubs - We do not have any clubs out yet. However, you can make one. There iwll be a topic going into further detail with this topic.

7.) Classes - I do ask that everyone is active in at least ONE (1) class. There is a possibility that we will have terms on here, and classes must be active to be able to pass to the next year.

8.) Once you are sorted, there is NO exceptions to having a house change. We reserve the right to cut off any particular years if the numbers are extremely high compared to others (i.e. there are 25 5th years, and like 2 Second years).

9.) Post in Third Person past tense such as "Bob walked to the store." Also, write as if you are writing a book. None of the **, :: ::, - -, etc. will be allowed for a post.

10.) Have fun! RPGs are meant to be fun, and I hope that you all find HSOWW to be a fun place to be. Remember, there are secrets all about the board, so explore form time to time and see if you can find a few!

11.) You can tag new posts meaning if you see <> or something in the Topic description and it's not your name, DO NOT POST. If I get PMs about that, your posts will be deleted. Tags are used to advance a personal storyline.

12.) Also we will NOT accept characters from the books. This takes place after Harry and the gang leaves (a good seven years later). So I think you can use your imaginations to make up new characters .

13.) There will be absolutely NO suicidal acts on HSOWW unless approved by an Admin. This will include anything to harm your own character deliberately (on purpose). Any member who fails to comply with this rule will be subject to a heavy consquence, whether it be suspension, or a permanent ban.

14.) There is to be NO harming of one's character without the permission from both that character's RPer, and an Admin. This only excludes fist fighting, duels, and grabbing someone tightly. (Nothing that will cause great losses of blood. Duels and fights could lead to nose bleeds or a cut, but nothing that will kill someone.) This does NOT exclude the stabbing, slitting, or shooting another's character. Any fights with weapon that are used (by inflicting mortal, or possible death wounds) will constitute in what is not allowed. Fails to comply with this rule will be subject to a heavy consquence, whether it be suspension, or a permanent ban.

15.) Also, powerplaying is a huge "no, no." It will not be happening. For those who are novice RPers, Powerplaying is when you say what happens to someone else's character without their permission.

16.) You are allowed to have more than one character here on HSOWW. We ask that you please seperate your characters with two different accounts. You are allowed to have a student character, as well as a Professor character. Please try not to register more characters than you can manage. Try to keep it to a maximum of 3 characters.

17.) If you do not take the O.W.L or N.E.W.T (which I will be informing you about 1 week in advance) You will be forced to stay behind and not continue with your classmates. If this happens a second time, your character will be expelled (unable to post on School Grounds, excluding the Forbidden Forest) and unable to graduate.

THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOUR CHARACTER IS DELETED!

It simply states that you MAY NOT post on School Grounds (excluding the Forbidden Forest). Your Character will be stripped of their title (and unable to use magic, without getting in trouble with the MOM. You have to be in school, if your an undergraduate, to use magic.).
