i can't believe that nathan waters is not a shoe in for a top 25 start. coach sheens was quoted saying that he only had 24 registered players at the current time and the club must have 25 registered before the competition proper kicks off. is this position being left open for skando to prove himself or should nath be given his chance? he has been named player of the year 4 years running and was picked in the nsw cup team of the year for 2008. he can play 1/2, 5/8, hooker and lock. has a solid kicking game and even better defensive game. the bloke can turn a game on its head by grinding his way through a game and having that never say die attitude. is it because he's not a pretty boy with a big side step? give the kid a crack or the club will no doubt loose a talent worth keeping.

I agree with your sentiments whole heartedly Normy. Magic is deserving to be the 25th player of Coach sheens NRL Squad. Then again, so is Mighty Mouse and Nu Akeripa. It seems that these talented, hard working footballers aren't held in the same breath as other house hold names, ego's and reputations.
As long as all these men stay true to themselves, continue to work hard and remained focused regardless whether their pulling on the Black and White of the Magpies or the Black, White and Gold of Wests Tigers, they will be rewarded in due course. When the door of opportunity opens, these Magpie men will walk through it.
