Granary showing sleeper walls which supported the raised stone flagged floor, the space between these walls allowed under-floor air to circulate. At some time the spaces were packed with earth & rubble. The north end wall has been robbed away, but allows a section through the foundations to be seen. 26th May

South end of granary, looking north. The large stone on the right (with blue pad) was below the doorway. The area under turf on the right is still to be uncovered by those of you coming in the next few weeks, yippy! (27th May)

This site just gets better and better!

I'm blown away by what's left of the western granary, it's just so beautiful. And the roadway is incredible. Thanks for posting such fab pictures.

What are the latest theories? Any word on how long these buildings were used? Whether/when they were chopped up and used as something other than granaries? Just such amazing archaeology coming out of there!

Great pictures Michael. It was good to meet you last week - hopefully we will meet again next year. Take Care - Jeanette
