Title: Glub, glub?

Hey all. I'm watching the news and thinking of you guys. Sounds like the southern half of England will be completely underwater within the next week or so. Not sure about how the Northerners feel about that. But at any rate I hope you and yours are all well, safe, high, and dry... dry-ish at any rate!

hi Harry have you seen the pictures of Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire? The 12th century abbey and the area around it is now an island with the floodwaters of two rivers surrounding it. The water is at least 7 feet deep. A quarter of a million people are without power and water in that area alone.
I live on the south coast and we have had an unbelievable amount of rain but thankfully not too much flooding, touch wood.
Have not heard anything from Vindolanda for a few days so hope they are not suffering too much.

We've had loads of rain in the North West, with a bit of very localised flooding but nothing like Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. An ironic twist - my teaching union magazine arrived yesterday complete with an advert for a 'riverside holiday cottage' in - you've guessed it, Tewkesbury.
