First, let me say that I didn't get to consult with most of the staff on this decision, but I think it was nonetheless clearly deserved. I'd also like to mention a few close runners-up, which, really, ALL of you are; you've all been blowing me away with great posts recently. Gergori, you were definitely one I considered; Elsie came up on our list last month, and Collier Falk/Zuriñe are both excellent characters I'd love to see more of. But everyone's been really impressive lately, so kudos, all. Congrats to the general for starting us out so amazingly in the war--that should be great fun.

On to the deserving member and character of the moment!

We needed a hard-bitten sergeant and that's what we got. He even bit a little harder than I'd expected--and, of course, took his turn at breaking Franco's nose... but with more panache and style than any of the twelve prior nose-breakers have managed. That aside, he's whipping our army into tip-top shape and should do some real damage to the barbarians. Even if his bloodthirstiness may not be appreciated on high in-game, it's definitely appreciated where it counts. And let's not forget the sheer entertainment value of Lei's posts. Rock-solid and very funny. A good job on all counts. Congratulations.

Let it never be said of Kyle that he lets me beat him down. That's a good thing. Kyle, I hope we can go forward with your thieves' guild--it's an intriguing idea. That said, your recent post with Darien in that icy mother-daughter standoff was very apt and amusing. And I can't wait to see how Darien reacts to warfare when it comes to that. He's a character I've liked from the beginning, and I hope to see more of Abbas et al., too. Congrats!

Besides Sam, if I wasn't here to throw a wrench every now and then how boring would it be. Just kidding. I love this site and the plots are so intricate and I can't wait to see what will happen.

You have actually helped me be a better writer. I find myself having to put my posts in WORD, check it, re-check it, preview the post, re-check it, then reply. I have also edited my posts a couple of times whenever I have rp'd with you. It's always a pleasure and I always find myself anxious about the next response.

As for everyone else, I have never seen such a fine collection of excellent writers. I stand truly in awe of all of you. This truly is an honor because of all of you, so thank you.
