Listen up Thiasian military folk! The Baskar have had it way too good for too long and it's time to teach them a lesson. If we want this Island, and we do want this island, it's time to put some hurt on those no good savages. And what better way to demonstrate our moral superiority than by attacking them at a religious festival? So the current plan is to attack them with our cavalry and push them into a infantry ambush. Once we've messed them up enough we get out quick like. The cavalry will cover the infantry escape with village raids and generally destroying anything Baskar in their path. But that's just the current plan, if anyone of you have ideas I'm totally open to suggestions. We're thinking about starting it up this weekend, which is hopefully ok with everyone. So as mentioned, if you've got ideas throw them out there. Also if we could get a sound of from everyone in the military that'd be great.

Hell yeah! I'm so ready to kick some ass!

As you can see, the invasion has BEGUN! YAY!

Remember: feel free to start one-on-one threads outside of the main invasion thread if you want some intensive one-on-one combat. If you want an impartial judge on who should win (don't worry, the loser won't die, but do decide on what injuries you'd like beforehand), PM an admin or mod; we're using the same rules as are in effect in the combat ring.

Me, I like to keep it casual, so I'm doing a bit of plotting with some people as to what should happen between our characters in the main thread... let the carnage begin.

OK, I've been getting some questions about how the battle is going. Here is what's going on, on the macro level:

-The cavalry have run right into the main camp
-Most of the Baskar have made their way out of the camp, running toward the woods
-The women and children are making their way toward the caves, which are right next to the camp, at the mouth of the river; the infantry wouldn't be there, as the caves are rather hard to find and traverse.
-The infantry are waiting in the fields and woods around the camps--not everywhere, and some aren't hidden, but a few Baskar running into the woods should run into some infantrymen

That's the basic story. The cavalry are surrounded in the main camp now, and some of the Baskar are stuck back there, too; some of the Baskar have surrounded the cavalry, and they are surrounded by infantry (mostly).

We'll see what happens... no wiping out one population, but I think the Baskar may be hurtin' after this one.

Yanno, since all the Baskar are badassing it up in the trees one of the waiting Thiasans should probably roleplay them bumping into the infantry. Just thinking out loud.
