Well, I'm obviously new to the site. So, the best approach to getting off to a good start must be to brainstorm some plots and let you all know that I'm lookin' for some RP partners in crime. If you have your own idea for a plot between Aislinn and one (or more) of your characters, feel free to share. I'm open to just about anything. Also feel free to expand upon or make suggestions for any of the ideas that are listed below.
Enemies:
It isn't hard to imagine that Aislinn would make an enemy or two pretty easily. Whether it's because women don't want her around their men, superiors find her too outspoken, people think she doesn't know her place, servants think she is being shown favoritism, or someone sees through her deception. . . there are many reasons for people not to love Aislinn. On the other hand, Aislinn is extremely critical of others. She'll find plenty of reasons not to like a variety of characters. The less-than-loving relationships can be the result of mutual 'hatred' or one-sided disapproval.
This type of relationship may not be a great central plot for a thread, but it could certainly add to the entertainment value of one at some point.
Friends:
I don't know about the rest of you, but I enjoy threads that consist mainly of conversation (not that I don't like action, but some people become bored with a lot of in-depth dialogue). Aislinn does have the potential to build a friendship, and after a bit of hesitation she could certainly open up to someone. If you have a character that has a personality similar to Aislinn's, they might enjoy a competitive or empathetic conversation (people like her don't just sit back and take others' opinions as fact without some debate). There's definitely a bit to learn from her, and she's got more than a bit to learn from others.
Romance:
Some men could actually like a woman with something to say, right? There are plenty of reasons for a man to be attracted to Aislinn, and more than a few reasons for that man to feel like he shouldn't be. The potential for a romantic relationship depends on the character (and Aislinn isn't a noblewoman), so I'm sure you can judge whether or not this would work for your character (I can't do that for you). Anyone looking for some drama would probably enjoy this type of plot.
Family:
If someone wanted to pick up a member of Aislinn's family as an aux. character, I would be fine with that. I haven't gone into much detail about them, so you're free to get creative with her siblings (or parents, if you'd like. . . but that's a bit boring I think). Teague might be fun to play because he's in the military, and he's basically a good guy (at least to Aislinn). Aislinn really loves her family, and she acts like a completely different person around them. They're really the only thing keeping her from truly becoming a manipulative, evil, little lady. The longer she's away from them, the more she's drifting into what was once just a temporary persona.
*I'll edit with more soon. I don't really have the time to list anything else right now, but I want to make sure I'm making SOME progress. ;)
I could actually see a friendship between Will and Aislinn. Unfortunately, not a romantic interest because he's gay (or at least will be once he finds the right guy). I kind of see them getting into trouble a lot. Him for his quick hands, her for her quick mouth.
I think it could be fun. Let me know.
I completely agree that Aislinn and Will could have a lot of mischievous fun together which could certainly evolve into a friendship. If he can make his way over to the border garrisons, than I'd be 100% willing to toss Aislinn into a thread with him. :)
Hiya! I'd love to plot with you, if we can work something out.
They could be an interesting pair, depending on how they meet and in what circumstances.
I'm pretty much up for anything! :]
What is the up. I've got Deora at the Border Garrisons and I'm grossly inactive. It'd be great if some rping went down. I play an evil manipulative little man ,and perhaps he could be a horrible influence.
