First of all, I'd like to say that we had a very hard time choosing our featured member for the week. A few names came up: Darien Lawley/Will Callahan; Elsie Farraday; and Niamh McNamara. Ultimately, we went with the last choice, but Darien and Elsie, know that you are much appreciated. Featured Character, too, was a very close race. Sebastian MacNab was a very near second--we particularly liked the depth, breadth and detail of your app.
That said, on to the winners' much-deserved praise.
Maha
Maha is an original and well-researched character. I love that we've brought Arabia into Thiasa, and I hope we can get a really good plot going around the difference between her religion and the prevailing Catholicism. Plot aside, the character alone is worthy of note. Maha is complex, nuanced, skilled, and thoroughly believable. It's great to have a physician/herbalist around, and she clearly does her research. I learn something when I read Maha's posts, and I recommend them to all.
Niamh
Niamh has been here almost from the beginning. Now, at first, being the misogynist I am, I was worried that she would be just another Lady, but I was far wrong. Her political machinations could put Machiavelli (in fairness, he is much-maligned, unduly) to shame. I think she has both the General and the Prince in her pocket now? I'm scared for poor King Aedan. And her plot with Sir James looks absolutely delightful. I think we'll all want to keep an eye on that.
Once again, congratulations to everyone. The site's been doing really well recently, and I think we've all been having a lot of fun. Every one of you deserves commendation for our amazing activity.
