*Why create an auxiliary character?

Thiasa is a big, complicated world. We've got three societies, and it can be hard to find people to post with. NPCs are all well and good, but sometimes you want more. That's where auxiliary characters come in.

*What is an auxiliary character?

An auxiliary character is a character you'd like to have around, without all the obligations of making up a full application. You also don't have to play the auxiliary yourself, though you may want to do so for a time. You may play auxiliaries as regular characters in every aspect, save that they may be shared with other players.

*How do you make an auxiliary character?

After you have posted at least ten times in your main account, you may decide you want someone else to post with--a sister, a brother, a friend, a mother, a father, a comrade-in-arms, a former lover, a prostitute... take your pick. Or you may want another character you can post as, without taking on the full burden of another application. You may want someone else to play the character sometimes, so the new auxiliary character can interact with your main character.

So you head for this forum and you fill out this form:

Name of Creator: (list one or all of the characters you play)
Name of Character: (just what it sounds like)
Relation to Other Site Characters: (is the auxiliary a lover, father, mother, friend...? Etc.)
Brief Outline of Personality, History, and Appearance: (no word minimum, but write enough so that others whom you may ask to play the character will be able to do it)

*How do you play an auxiliary character?

If you're the auxiliary's creator, feel free to dive right in. Make a signature, make an avatar--whatever you want. You can play your auxiliary just like a regular character (if you end up posting more with the auxiliary, we may PM you to suggest you fill out a proper application and take the character on full-time).

If you want someone else to play the character, you can post on the plotting board requesting it. If someone else wants to take on the auxiliary character, they must PM the creator and wait for them to give you permission and the password to the auxiliary's account.
