Physical Description:
A passing glance at Otsoa tells of his Baskar heritage; deeply bronzed skin stretches taut over a solid frame. Though he's out-of-practice with his warrior upbringing, Otsoa has remained skilled with a longbow and his upper body shows it. His height is unimpressive, but at 5'10" he is a good height for scouting and sneaking - it aids him in avoiding the fearful gazes of the tribe. A pleasantly masculine face once made him quite popular among the women of his tribe, but his formerly lively dark eyes have blackened with the uncertain and tenuous air he carries. Otsoa has become used to being resented and feared, and comes to expect a severe reaction, on the odd occasion leaving him with a scar like the one that traces the line of his jaw.
Personality:
Thought to be emotionless by many, Otsoa is reserved and cautious with his emotions around people. There is a shyness about him brought on by his ostracism, but underneath the glow of what he used to be still shines. A certain confidence guides him, though he does not trust easily. Otsoa is determined, to say the least, to restore honor to himself - but not for himself. His one greatest desire is to see his daughter, whom he has not seen in five years, since her grandmother stole her away.
Though many fear him, he is of the gentlest nature around children, and especially women. It has been a long time since his heart has known the company of a friend, and Otsoa is very lonely, though he will rarely admit it. He is loyal above all else to those who are kind to him, and is saddened and embittered by those who shun him.
History:
Once a spirit to match Eguzki's face in brightness served among the Ekaini tribesmen as a warrior, a hunter, and a husband. Otsoa grew among the customs and traditions of his people, and learned to love and respect the world around him, in all things. A skilled bowman and rider, he was well-respected, though perhaps without enough humility. Prideful, in the nature of the wolf, Otsoa became careless in word and action, and on a raid, one of his tribesmen was killed due to Otsoa's error. Though no one on the raiding party blamed him for the death, Otsoa returned home sick from within as his Spirit, the Wolf, began to grow distant. Even his wife, Erlea, and their beautiful child could not stir him from his sorrow and self-blame. Eventually, the Wolf, needing to belong to a pack and feeling betrayal at Otsoa's careless actions, left him. He became one of the Lost Ones.
The change was visible almost immediately. Children of the tribe, including Garden, his own daughter, fled from him in fear; and the tribesmen began to eye him warily, as though he were an interloper rather than one of their own. Eventually, Otsoa was ostracized, and by association, so was Erlea. Neither of their families would see them, their friends shunned them, even their daughter would not embrace her father. Erlea slowly began to reject her husband also, at last drowning herself in the river. So lost without her presence, Otsoa fell into a deep depression, during which his mother came and took Garden from his care.
Now, five years later, he has begun to make strides to be re-accepted into the tribe, even though he knows it may not be possible. Without a jainko, he is utterly alone, and the part of him that remembers the companionship longs for it more than anything in the world.
Plot Potential:
- Being a "Lost One" there's a lot of potential for ostracism.
- I'd be very interested in Otsoa having a forbidden/"unorthodox" romance with an Ekaini woman, since most people of the tribe would fear and ostracize him.
- It'd also be interesting for him to try and reclaim a warrior title, to "bring honor" back onto himself and his family name.

What's the name of the Creator God the Ekaini worship?: (got it in one)
This is how it should be done. I love this idea, and I agree that there's a great deal of potential. Accepted on my part. Good job!
