Physical Description (five sentence minimum):
No one can deny that Hanna is certainly no beauty. In fact, some go as far as to say she is ugly. It is truly an unfortunate thing, haunting every aspect of her life, and impacting every decision. First of all, Hanna’s nose is not at all straight. It has a crook, and though not easily seen when looking straight at her, a profile will accurately display the hideous bump. It can be said that is the first thing one notices, but her chestnut eyes also are somewhat odd. They are unnaturally small and filled with humor and One is slightly smaller than the other, making her eyes seem even more abnormal. They are week, and display no emotion, either sorrow of glee. It is hard to detect what she is feeling. Framing those eyes are thick dark brown eyebrows that make her eyes look even smaller.
As the palette for her face, her face is also rather sharp, and rounded. Her cheek bones are unnaturally high and her skin is almost rugged, rough, and rather dark. Hanna tries to give a pale skin of appearance though powder, that that can only do so much. The hair that comes out from her scalp, is wild, dark, and untamed. It is quite thick and too large to be left down, and therefore, many hours are put into putting up her hair.
Hanna’s smile can be seen as quite humorous, being very wide and curved in such a way that makes any person whose sees it laugh. She is also, not exactly a woman who is in good shape. She has a pudgy appearance. Even with a corset, she still can never seem to be in as good of shape as the other courtiers. She finds this slightly depressing, but she tries not to let it get to her. Another fault of Hanna’s is her height. She was not even blessed with height, but instead, stands at 4’9”. She hates her height for in makes her feel that much more insecure. Her ears are also rather large and stick out. A Pudgy neck holds up her face, and makes her look even larger.
Overall, Hanna is one of those unfortunate woman, simply not blessed with the beauty of her mother, and only received harsh exaggerated traits. There is not a single admired trait, which is indeed a shame,
Personality (eight sentence minimum):
What Hanna lacks in appearance, she makes up in personality, for sure. She is very bright and well learned. From birth, the rigorous studies, and allowed her to become fluent in numerous languages. To simply hear her speak, one would think she was a native of that country, her accent is so precise her tone so accurate. She is also quite rational, and makes well informed decisions. Nothing is done in a rash manner. She is quite aware of consequences of such decisions, and knows she cannot afford the consequences.
Also, Hanna has a rather charming wit. She knows exactly how to make a person smile or laugh. Her mind is filled with the desire to entertain. It pleases her to no end, to see she has made a person’s day. It is her prime desire, to make people happy. She will do anything for that, even go against what she personally does not want. It is a strength and fault at the same time. She would even be willing to lie if that would prevent an acquaintance feel hurt by the truth. Hanna however, does not deny the need to vent her true feelings and often does thi with people she is well acquainted with who do not hold her opinions against her.
Hanna also has a tendency to feel unworthy. She is not blind to her appearance, and it is a source shame for her. All her life, no one has failed to remind her of her ugly and exaggerated appearance, and though she knows it’s true, she tires not to let those kinds of words bother her. She hates to appear vulnerable, and if she revealed how those words hurt her, they could be used against her.
Hanna is also a very determined woman. She will do whatever she sets out to do. She is also a loyal person, and years have made her an obedient. If asked to do something, she does not go back on her word. It is hard for her to say no to people, especially to people in pain. That is indeed another part of her: she has a very compassionate heart. She hates to see people in pain. She is willingly to sacrifice her own happiness for others.
It also must be noted that due to Hanna’s rational view, she does not entertain thoughts of “true love”. Having gone through most of her life being told that she is ugly, it is hard for her to believe that anyone could love her. Hanna tries not to let this get to her and tries to enjoy what little pleasures life can afford her. It never occurred to her, that there might be some people out there that do not judge by appearance alone.
History (ten sentence minimum):
Hanna, being the youngest daughter, has always been treated as a baby. It has never bothered her that much, but she does sometimes get tired of not being trusted and not able to do things her older siblings were. They were given more freedom, and because of that, Hanna has grown to accept the fact that she is inferior everyone around her, especially in appearances. It was not that they did not love her. Indeed, they loved her just as much as her siblings, but they were rather protective of her. As parents who wanted the best fort her daughter, they always told Hanna that she was “adorable” and so Hanna slowly began to believe it.
One of the first instances, that she realized she was simply unfortunate in what life offered her. Her parents had guests over and Hanna, wanting to help her parents, decided to entertain the guests. The moment she came into he room, the guests opened their mouths in horror and simply stared at her. It was not until a little bit later, that she realized that they stared at her because of her appearance.
Soon, Hanna began to notice how people tried to avoid her, and whispered as she walked past them. It became evident the gravity of her “ugliness”. It took a few years to fully grasp this and accept it, but when she did, Hanna tried to do something that could make up for appearances. She did this by investing in people’s laughter. She would tell small jokes, do silly things, just to make them laugh, and this made Hanna feel good. She loved to see their smile, and Hanna continued to do this.
However, there was an instance in which Hanna’s temper got the best of her, and shaped her ideas on others opinions. It was an ordinary situation, but after having a rough day, Hanna did not wish to deal with all the snickering, whispering and stares. She was simply tired of it, and in no mood to entertain. Upset, Hanna confronted the young girl, and lashed out at her. She would have attacked had not her parents interceded. That night, her parents gave her a sound lecture, and feeling awful for disappointing them, she made a resolution never to let her anger get the best of her. She would simply ignore the awful words.
Now at fourteen Hanna is engaged to none other than King Aeden, or at least it is assumed. Nothing official has been announced, but even so, Hanna feels that nothing will come of it. She does not like the idea of entering into a loveless marriage, but how could she eve find love with such a hideous appearance? She is loyal, which makes her decision that much harder. She wants to please her parents, who think this match will be wonderful for the family, but she can not help but wonder if there was a better man for her out there, even if she is not pretty like the other girls. However, even Hanna knows how silly it is to dream of that, and so It seemed only logical to go through with her parent's plan. She has no intention to sabotage the engagement, because it is her only chance to be a wife. No one would marry her as she is now, or if they did, she would be utterly unhappy. She figures she will still be unhappy in the match, but Deep down inside, though, Hanna really wants the marriage between her and Aeden to work out. She wants love, but the only person she has received that from was her parents.
SAMPLE RP (from any site, ten sentence minimum):
When Lucy nodded, Rose found her answer, but it was not the answer she had been hoping for. This simply could not be happening! A wave a shock simply froze Rose in her present position unable to move, to speak, or even smile now. Her mind was spinning, her nerves shocked. She felt like one with a dark cloud hung over them, but instead, this one would never leave. It was here to stay, and Rose felt it. With that one simply motion, Rose’s world was shattered. It was as if, the small flame that burned inside Rose was now blown out with a simple puff. It was all she had held on to, and now she had nothing. She had absolutely nothing now. Her heart begin to stop beating, and she no longer breathed, the emotions escalation to a point where it became too much to even handle.
What was she feeling though? Anger? Well, that was a given. Though she despised herself for feeling such an emotion, it could not be helped. After all, Lucy had made this arrangement without her consent. Rose had no choice at all in the matter. Why would her sister suddenly do such a thing? How could she do it? It was completely unlike her. Rose acknowledged that her sister had changed, but could she have changed so suddenly into such a person? Did Lucy even care how she felt about the situation? Did she even once think, the pain, the agony she would feel upon being told?
She could not have known, Rose told herself.
Lucy had never even mentioned such a thing. Rose suddenly traced her memory back to a day. Her sister had indeed mentioned a beau for her, and if the Duke of Marcheford was that very man. But did she really say that to hint such an event. Should she have known beforehand. Should she have expected what was to come. Rose did not know. She could not think properly. She could only think of the pain she was feeling. Her heart felt pressed, and she no longer felt she could sit up straight for a moment longer. What had she done to deserve this treatment? Had she sinned or displeased God? That was the only thing she resorted to now. She could not so easily believe her sister to have changed so much. It just couldn’t be. It just couldn’t be. Rose told herself this over and over, until she thought she believed it. Hidden beneath that cold sister of hers, was the kind, sensitive sister she had always known Lucy to be. It just had to be true. Despair was the only reason for this delusion. Believing this was the only hope, the last tiny thread that she hung on to.
Rose simply wanted all this madness to stop. She bit her lip and did her best to keep tears from escaping her eyes. She would not cry. Rose noticed now, through her blurred vision, that the man was now approaching her. Rose felt like a doe, and wished to run, to flee away. But where would she go? Where could she hide that she would never have to face the pain she felt now? No place came to mind, and so she stood there, frozen as she watched him approach.
Then, when he spoke, Rose’s despair fell even further. This marriage was to create an alliance? She was simply being used in her sister’s plan for power? Had she no say whatsoever? Had she no rights? Rose felt like screaming, crying, or something. Holding in all her emotions was suddenly almost too much to bear. But she had to keep them in. She had no real choice. Rose pressed her lips against each other in feeble attempt. When Rose turned her head to meet the man, Rose was shocked to see him look so calm. How could he be so calm in such a situation? Her own mind was swimming with thoughts, emotions and the like, but he stood there in perfect tranquility. How was it even possible? Rose tiled her head to get a better look at him. How old was he anyway? Gathering from his appearance she guessed around his thirties, twice her own age. Rose gave a small shudder at this thought. Her heart further plummeted, when she had thought it had already hit rock bottom. Apparently she was wrong.
Lucy suddenly spoke up confirming what the man had said. The alliance made sense, now. After all he was a Duke according to Lucy. Just because it made sense, didn’t mean Rose’s pain was alleviated. No, it was still far from that. She still had tears in her eye, she felt despair, she felt agony, she felt every emotion once could feel. How could Lucy do this to her? How? How? How? Where was that sweet girl she knew and loved as a child? Lucy did not even look like she was remotely interested in how she felt.
A few moments of silence followed, but Rose could not conger up any words in her mouth. What could she say? Finally, seeing both of their gazes upon her, Rose knew she had to say something. All sorts of responses came into her mind. She could yell and storm off. She could refuse the match. That appeased to Rose, but she knew deep down she would not have the heart to do such a thing. Despite what Lucy did, and how upset she was, Lucy was still her sister. She bore the Rochester name and she must honor it, no matter how much it hurts to do so. She would not wish for her dead parents to look upon her with a frown. And she certainly did not wish to go against her sister. She loved her too much, despite all the feelings inside her. No, she would be the dutiful woman, even if it meant pain and sadness for the rest of her life.
With tears on the verge of escaping Rose bowed her head, in hopes no one would notice her glassy eyes. “I am pleased to be of aid in uniting two wonderful duchies.” Rose replied. Lifting her head, she looked at Duke Castyll. This was to be her husband. This was the man with whom she would spend the rest of her life with…and she did not even know his first name.
