Make your own vellum by putting baby oil onto a printed piece of paper , leave to dry between 2 sheeets of kitchen paper ( about 24 hours) and then it is ready to use, just like Vellum you can buy, only perfumed !
One word of warning, don't put too much oil on it or it will take ages to dry?
Wonderful for making all over personal wording for that special card.

Thanx for that tip Poppy will give it a try.......I just luv vellum so this sounds like a bargain.
What sort of paper are you talking about - just your usual background types?
I am intrigued!

I just use ordinary copy paper( printer stuff) I print repeated words like happy birthday or with deepest sympathy( my neighbour died) or any other greetings you want, then jusy put the baby oil/ essential oil on the paper and with anything greasy it goes opaque and dries just like vellum with a beautiful smell into the bargain.
