The Alderaanian War Frigate was the pride of the Alderaanian fleet, powerful and aggressive, until the planet’s destruction at the hands of the Death Star. However, the design lived on and Rendilli Stardrive continued the production of the ship in smaller numbers after the Eemperor was killed, as a reminder of the Alderaanian people and their fate under the Empire’s oppressive hand. The main block of the War Frigate is 180 meters long, with a 40 meter extension at the front and a 30 meter extension at the rear, below the ion engines. These extensions allowed common starfighters to dock with the war frigate for protection and for hyperspace jumps. The war frigate can carry 5 standard starfighters or ten of the smaller microfighters, such as TIE fighters or the Clone Wars Eta-2 and V-Wing.

The War Frigate is fairly well armed, with four quad turbolasers covering the frontal arc, and two each for the port and starboard side. There is a single quad turbolaser located at the aft of the ship, and another quad turbolaser on the ventral side of the ship. All the weapons are hidden under thick armour until deployed, which can take about a minute. There are also three ion cannons located at the front and a single ion cannon at the aft of the ship.
