The Aggressive ReConnaissance starfighter was a predecessor of the T-65 X-Wing that saw considerable usage as a support fighter and bomber during the later stages of the Clone Wars. It resembles an oversized X-Wing, with a larger cockpit, a secondary cockpit bubble at the rear and six S-foils instead of the X-Wing’s four. It had a very narrow frame that was flanked by the large engines required to push this hefty ship around. Due to the atmospheric stability provided by the six heat sink radiator S-foils, the ARC-170 was fast and a very stable craft within a planet’s atmosphere.

The ARC-170 is durable and rugged, with incredibly think armour and strong shields, making it at least as able to take a beating as the famed Y-Wing. To add to the defence of this ship, a rear gunner in the second cockpit is able to control the slightly turretable rear laser cannons. This is a good thing, because the ARC-170 is a slow beast, not even breaking 80 MGLT. However, its rugged and solid nature and fast hyperdrive made it a good scout during the war, so its nosecone is loaded up with powerful sensors and jamming arrays to assist the scouting missions. The crew is able to go for five days on the life support, but the ship can actually be run by a single person, though the pilot has no access to the guns, only the torpedo launcher and shields. When the reargunner is removed, the life support can last for 200 hours, and with only one the life support can last a full 350 hours, making it a rather good long-distance starfighter.
