Do they ship outside the Czech republic?

spannick - July 25, 2010 07:10 PM (GMT)
i don't know - i got it from the Girlfriend of my Boss who LIVES there! she sent it over from there to Germany.

Wauw!! That's amazing!!

And very very depressing cos it reminds me of spending many many months tracking down the Japanese video and finally paying lots and lots of money for it BECAUSE an eBay seller WRONGLY stated it was the letterboxed print. It isn't. :(

I see they're using the alternative title of "Return of the Iron Angels".

I don't remember if it was registered (I think it might have been). They only had one postage option.

I've ordered from two shops in the Czech Republic (Mattei's two zombie films, Deep Blood, and Jail) and the one shop only wanted bank transfer, and the other took ordinary Visa, etc, cards.

And it's even more amazing how they can sell them at 2 euros!!! And they're not bootlegs. How can they get them so cheap from the companies. Do they get special aid now that they're in the EU??

Btw, Vapet (the store from the link) is not just a store, it's actually the video label.

None of us can read Czech!

We use Google translator (or "feeblefish").

Go here:
http://translate.google.com/#

I have actually added the Google tranny ( ) to my Firefox bar so it translates the whole page automatically. It's crap for reading articles but alright for ordering stuff.

Some Czech stores ship outside of the country and some don't. It seems noone here has yet ordered from this place so we don't know if they ship outside of the Czech Republic (it's not mentioned in their info afaics).

eric draven - July 27, 2010 09:04 AM (GMT)
thx Jack.
I will try to get it.

Member-X - July 27, 2010 02:13 PM (GMT)
Thanks for the google translation tip.
This shop seems to ship outside cz.
And this one.

I still haven't got this DVD but I've just noticed you've uploaded a scene from it, Spannick. Wauw, that looks totally awesome and MUCH better than my reg. 1 fullscreen DVD and Japanese VHS!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5c_qgxCIR3o

- I see you have also uploaded a rare "cutscene"; so is this included in the new DVD or missing?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qa2ItD1xjAc

And has anybody made a fan subbed version yet?

spannick - December 7, 2010 12:14 AM (GMT)
that clip is from the Movie, yep. the rare footage of course not, as it's not widescreen.

i haven't seen english fansubs yet...

No, of course I didn't mean if the fullscreen clip was in the letterboxed DVD version. I meant if the rare SCENE that we see in the clip was also included in the dvd version (but all of it being letterboxed, naturally).

spannick - December 9, 2010 01:02 AM (GMT)
of course it's not on the DVD. i doubt anyone except 2 or 3 persons on the Planet know it even existed on VHS :D

Jinha - January 26, 2011 08:28 PM (GMT)
Were the Czech subtitles removeable? I wouldn't mind trying taking the time to try and make subs for them.

I'm actually learning how to rip a dvd with foreign subs and translate them into English at the moment. The first one I'm trying it with is the french dvd of Encounters of the Spooky Kind 2. It just requires a lot of time and going through google translate a lot.

Then of course I'd actually have to find a place to buy them from.

Jack J - January 26, 2011 11:15 PM (GMT)
I don't have the Czech version of ANGEL 3 but the handful of Czech DVDs that I do have didn't have burnt in subs. Two of them (Mattei's last two zombie films) had enforced subs but I got rid of them by making a copy with DVD Shrink.

And it would be awesome if someone (i.e. you) would sub it in English. B)

Jinha - January 27, 2011 12:43 AM (GMT)
I certainly don't mind attempting it. Hell I wouldn't even mind just owning them since they are so cheap.

So the real problem is finding a place to buy them. Anyone know of a sure place to buy it from that ships to USA?

Cteve - January 27, 2011 01:06 AM (GMT)
Wow! that clip Spannick put on Youtube is really awesome and the quality of the print itself is gorgeous.

Jinha - February 9, 2011 05:38 PM (GMT)
so does anyone know where I can purchase these with ease?

Cteve - February 10, 2011 11:28 AM (GMT)
I found this beauty today by pure luck, the rare Korean VHS, and the copy is in perfect mint condition! The running time at the back of the tape says 92 minutes.

I'll have a look at it tonight and compare it with the Czech DVD.
