Can a mod pin this please?
This is an explanation of how my sig is made, and is posted so that we can have sigs that are easily understandable and detailed.
Basically, right now everyone's sig is different. And while diversity is great, when the sigs are unclear and no one understands them, we have a problem. So here's how I make my sig, which is as uncluttered as I can make it. (It'll help if you open up my sig in another tab/window and look at it.)
The most important organizer I use is the sig code.

Since our sigs are put into a scroll bar anyways, you can use several of these scroll boxes in your sig. I use one for my characters, one for my fleet, one for my garrisons, and also one for the SW RPG.
The next most important thing is COLOR. Put in colors for the heading of each character, ship, garrison so that they stand out. The color turns a block of confusing text into something that is easily read and understood. (Look at the color system in my sig.)
First, the Characters:
You should have
Main Character: (Character name)
Location: (Planet/ship)
Inventory: (stuff)
In the inventory, put each weapon on its own line. Also have your armor at the top, detailing all upgrades to it. Put all your weapon upgrades next to the weapon the upgrades are on. Grenades/holo-drones should all go on one line together.
Do the same thing for each of your other characters.
Next, your fleet.
Write the ship name (if applicable) and the type of ship it is. The name of each ship should be in a color, and the rest should not be. The under that, put the location. Next, put how many weapons it has, how much damage its hull can take, and all upgrades. All of these things need to go on their own line. Directly under these, write the crew members, since they shouldn't be leaving the ship. (If you have an AI piloting the ship, put it in place of the crew.
Now, skip a line, and put the troops you have. The troops should have their weapons/armor listed on the same line as them. Separate different types of troops by putting each type on its own line. Then put all your vehicles/fighters.
Then repeat for every ship. If you have several ships that are exactly the same, you can group them together like I've done.
Garrisons
The garrisons should be separated by planet, with each planet name in color. Put each type of unit on a different line, and put their weapons/armor next to them.
Made up example:
<DIV style="width:426px;height:150px;overflow:auto;border-width:1px;border-color:000000;border-style:transparent;">
Garrisons
I-01
130 Enforcers
104 Majors
500 Sentinels
1000 Constructors
Sangheilia
1000 Elites with Plasma Rifles/Personal Energy Shields
50 Brutes with brute shots
20 Wraiths with elites as pilots
10 Seraphs with Elites as pilots
Earth
500 ODST with ODST armor and Battle Rifles
1000 Marines with marine armor and SMGs
100 Scorpions with human pilots with marine armor
</DIV>
If you are in both RPGs, put everything from the Halo RPG together, and everything from the SW RPG together. Pictures can go wherever, as long as they aren't in the middle of your RPG stuff.
Also, having an updated sig is important (I'm slacking some), so that everyone knows where your stuff is.
Basically, divide up your stuff into sections, and clearly describe what your stuff has so that people don't miss it (Like when the UNSC missed pyro's shields), because it's bad when you get into a battle thinking you can win, and then the enemy suddenly has an upgrade or troops that you didn't see.
Cool, But not many people have that much unless there a Faction Leader or a very High Rank.
or some dude with many diferent units
im some1 who is high lvl and will have many units :] thanks culliford
Why was it unpinned? EDIT NVM
I've gotta start using this... Too unorganized.
You dont have to put garrisons in your sig...
