people tend to netdeck better decks than this. if they wanted to netdeck a burn deck it'd probably be CO Burn.
if you wanna run Clocktower Prison as a method of stalling the game why not include two or three copies of Eternal Dread? i'd run it over the dread servant and probably a copy of Just Deserts.
there's more that i didn't notice i'm sure but i'll get to that later.
oh and i voted maybe. the poll lets people vote for all of them though. lol

just deserts is the main burn trap it burns more than secret barrel does most of the time
i dont have eternal dread and i just needed another monster and thought he looked cool
and that netdecking thing is something im putting on every deck i post though this deck is really good suprisingly enough so please dont pass judgement before uve seen it in action
im using it on saturday so ill post the tourny result when i get the chance

people tell me "not to pass judgment without seeing it in action" all the time. i'm not passing judgment i'm just telling you why it's not going to be netdeck'd. people net what does well in high level tournaments. this isn't the type of burn that is likely to top and because of that it's not likely to be net'd. besides it's not like seeing it in action is any different than knowing the theory behind the deck. if you know how the cards work together and how the deck works then you can tell whether or not it's good enough to net.
i recommended Just Deserts mainly because it seems that it lost a lot of its potency with the limiting of Ojama Trio. that was the only real reason i selected it over Secret Barrel. if it still does better than the barrel then by all means drop a barrel.

im not dropping either one they both do burning and because i run both i manage to pull burner cards almost every game (1 game i didnt pull any unfortunately)
and knowing the theory of a deck doesnt mean anything
there was a theory that oppresion gadgets could take out dad and that failed terribly

the theory of what a deck does and the theory of what a deck can beat are two totally different theories. to say that knowing the theory of a deck doesn't mean anything is pretty silly on your end. you go to these tournaments and such yet you think that knowing the theories doesn't mean anything? are you playing locals and leagues or regs and sjcs? people who play the higher level tournaments would agree that knowing the theory of the deck as well as how the cards would work together would agree with me that knowing the theory will give the player around enough insight to tell whether or not a deck is good enough to net. there might have been a few exceptions to this but for the most part you can tell whether or not a deck is high level material based soley on the theory of the deck itself.
as much as i like the clock tower prison i'd still probably recommend copies of Messenger of the Peace over them simply because they have effects that last begin immediately. that'd also free up that monster zone for something like a third Stealth Bird or a third Magical Merchant. don't get me wrong i like Clock Tower Prison but without Eternal Dread it just seems lack luster.

my mistake on the theory thing but i still say that theory isnt everything
as for the clock tower yeah im out of eternal dreads and messenger of peaces though i prefer clock tower since its a field and doesnt take up room for the traps to burn people
and i think i couldnt fit in the merchant for some reason i cant remember though
maybe ill take out dread servant for the 3rd but stealth bird i only had 2 handy otherwise i would have 3 ^_^
pretty much this is whatever was in my binders that i could use
Alastair Meztli Solaris - June 19, 2008 07:49 PM (GMT)
you're right. theory isn't everything because there are rare exceptions. but they are rare. still lets not argue about it. it's a pointless arguement. lol
anyway that's what i dislike about irl decks you never know what the other person's resources allow. lol
maverick - June 19, 2008 09:29 PM (GMT)
lol very true
lol true i have a decent amount of resources though i dont like to take things from other decks to put them in another so i have to get multiple sets of different cards >_>
like allure of darkness i think im gonna need 3 sets lol
