I believe a woman should be in full control of her body.

I believe I'm too young to comment, lol.

I'm 19. Who said I was ashamed to say that comment? I just don't like talking about it. I'm a guy. i feel that it's not my business, unless I'm directly involved in the situation.

(I'm a guy too, but still, I'm posting)
I think that when a woman is pregnant, it is not just HER body anymore. It's as much her body as it is the child inside of her. What if Martin Luther King's mom had an abortion? Did she? No. But if she did, imagine what this world would be like. I believe that if a woman is not fit to pay for her baby, she should put him/her in a foster or group home but still visit him/her. Even if she wouldn't visit, at least the kid has a chance to do something great in the world.
Dainichi Kitsune - April 22, 2008 09:56 PM (GMT)
Yes, but why bring a child into the world if it'll only end up in a bad environment?
Kaj Xitrons - April 22, 2008 10:00 PM (GMT)
I agree with Dai. He said everything I would have.
Akuma Kihaku - April 22, 2008 11:23 PM (GMT)
In the world, there is no such thing as a "good environment" only a "better-then-bad" environment. Also, babies ARE humans. Abortion IS murder. Would you like your mom to kill you because she didn't feel that you were in a good environment?
Kaj Xitrons - April 23, 2008 02:55 AM (GMT)
Why bring a child you do not want into the world to be subjected to rape, abuse and molestation? Granted, these issues don't occur everywhere but it is a very serious problem.
It should be a women's choice to abort a child birth, women shouldn't have to go through the pain of child birth if they don't want to.

If every mother though like that, we will all be dead.

Living life everyday is just like gambling, you have a chance of dying. We live in a world of probabilities but that doesnt stop us from eating/walking/studying/etc, right?
Yeah, it is serious but that is not a reason for killing a child.

If the child was produced by something like rape, I understand the reason. If it was produced because they werent careful and made a mistake, they have to take responsability of their acts.
Akuma Kihaku - April 23, 2008 11:24 PM (GMT)
A recent servay said that 1% of all child births are from rape. I guess that means 1% of all child obortions are justified. You may think it does, but rape doesn't happen every day. And most of the time, it ends in murdering the victom. So honestly, there is an extremely little chance of the parent even being able to HAVE a child in the first place.

Kihaku, you have no idea what you're talking about, do you? Show me these "surveys" if you actually have any. Children of rape are no where near as uncommon as you seem to be implying. They may not be a majority of the population, but they are most certainly more than one percent. Also, murder isn't always an accomplice to rape, it rarely is actually. Women tend to fear for their lives should they tell anyone, and as such, the man lets them live. Murder with rape isn't uncommon, but that doesn't mean that it happens a lot of the time.
My opinion on abortion is simple. I don't think abortion should be illegal, but I don't think that it should be birth control.

for once i agree with Rou lol i mean what other people do we have really no control over it, cuz if they make it illegal people will just find ways to still do it. (exp. coat hangers like they used to do, tho people did die from this very stupid thought people still did it,) and as rou put it

Thank you for mentioning what I forgot. There are people who would do the same operation regardless of its legality, and they tend to do it in a less safe manner than your typical doctor does. I mean, would you rather have women who wanted to get abortions die because the "doctor" didn't have a sterile environment, or some other little detail that would've been taken care of at a hospital?
