Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin has died after being stung by a stingray.

I had great respect for Steve Irwin and known as 'Crocodile Man' for his handling of these reptiles and having been killed while filming underwater in Australia. By all accounts he was killed by something coming from a Stingray and hitting him in the chest. Paramedics were most unfortunately, unable to save him.
A Great Man who will be sadly missed by many and my sympathy goes out to his Gorgeous wife Terri and their two children.

Oh no :cry: ,i have spent many an hour watching the crocodile hunter admiring his enthusiasum and zest for life and wildlife ,he died doing what he loved may he rest in peace with his dog Suey in the great barrier reef in the sky

I was very sad to hear about this news too. Olivia loves this man. I have not told her the news as she doesnt understand death. It would really confuse her too if she saw him on the tv. He will be missed by many.

With everything this man achieved with huge animals, and it was a freak accident with a small animal that stole him away. I still can't beleive it - he was a complete nutter but that is what made him so great. My heart goes out to his family. It is a dreadful loss and he will be sadly missed. xx ANG

James has really struggled with Steve Erwin dying. I'ts the first time someone has died that he can somehow relate to. He's been very vocal about it and bless him he's put an I'll miss you poster on his door. I'm going to get him the DVD of the crocodile hunter as I know he loves it. Bless him it's so sad to see how confused this has left him.

I can't believe how much it affected me, I was absolutely gutted and couldn't think of anything else all day so I dread to think what's going through James' mind. :hug:

We will miss him too. I heard on the news today the Terri wants the documentary to go ahead including his death. Also the Austrailian govenment has offered him a state funeral.
