Title: No cruise if you ask me!!

Oh we had to look at this one didn't we?!
Tom and Katie have had their baby and apparently she was silent at the birth and will care for the baby without talking to if for the first month of it's birth. What do you think of this? Is Scientology just a cult?

I personally would weorry about the bonding process and I can't think how imposible it would have been for me not to talk to my children when they were born, I spoke to them before they were born infact.

I've added an article to get you thinking about it but I want to know what you think!!

The Katie/Tom affair

I think it's a load of twaddle. Did you see in the Sun today what sort of upbringing this child will have? Apparently the baby should remain separated from it's mother for the first few days so that they don't bond; remain unwashed for 24 hours after the birth, wrapped tightly in a blanket; drink Barley Water instead of breast milk. Her cries will be ignored as they class babies as adults in young bodies who can handle pain. On top of this, if she falls she will have to press her sore body part against the object that hurt her until the pain goes away AND if she's sick an adult will prod her with a finger until she feels better!

This is the most uncaring and selfish upbringing a child can have and in my opinion anyone who treats a child so cruelly doesn't deserve to be a parent!

Here here.

If we refused to speak to our babies, social services would come down on us like a ton of bricks. Poor child. It'll get such a shock when it's mum eventually speaks. I would go as far as to class this as neglect.

Is it safe to feed a child barley water so early?

I suppose breast milk is out of the question in this cult then

I looked into this as it's been on the news. Apparently it's other people that are not allowed to speak, the mother is allowed.

If you look on their site they ask you to fill in a free personality test (and that is all it is despite what they say).

I filled it in, not the truth about myself, but what should represent a mentally balanced individual :D

The results were astounding...apparently I am too reserved (huhhumm) as well as very depressed? Of course this would all change if I was to follow scientology (as simple as that eh).

If anyone goes on the site and fills in the personality test (you have to give email addy so I dont think I could do it again) click on all the middle boxes (maybes) and let us know what it churns up.

Just another cult for all the well off with nothing better to do I'd say!

i think its ridiculous,im thinking maybe a lot of it must be exagerrated in the papers as its just not normal behaviour for a loving parent to do,as for prodding the baby when she ill.tom cruise needs a good prod in the brain to get it working again pokey
