Title: Are you a soap addict?

Minxy - April 4, 2005 06:20 AM (GMT)
Are you a soap addict? Can you let the day go by without a dose of your favourite soap or are they not for you?

In my house it's the boys that can't cope without Eastenders or Corrie.

Me? I find them depressing and unrealistic and I would like to know where are the children with special needs if these soaps are realistic?

I watch Corrie, Eastenders and Neighbours. I don't panic too much if I miss an episode but I do like to watch them.

As for special needs they sort of covered it on Neighbours recently. A lad was diagnosed with ADHD but after being given fruit and salad to eat every meal instead of his normal food he's no worse then the rest of them. If only it were that easy!

I used to watch the aussy soaps religiously when the kids were little, but now I can't stand the sight of them. Haven't watched a soap in probably 4 years. :D

yeah stringray on neighbours was cured practically overnight,if only eh!!
have you noticed in the soaps how someone dies and the relatives are over it about a week later!another thing what annoys me in easties is havent they heard of currys or argos, why hasent one person got a washing machine, the millers havent even got one!

I watch the Aussie soaps and agree that the Neighbours ADHD story was worse than useless. Home & Away had a storyline about an autistic boy in mainstream school - and I'm just waiting for someone to diagnose Robbie Hunter with Aspergers.

i watch the aussie soaps, i used to be hooked on corrie & eastenders but they are getting boring now
i also like most haunted

Minxy - April 6, 2005 03:16 PM (GMT)
I watch Most Haunted too Joy, not sure if I believe half of it though.

It's really disapointing that there aren't more stories in the soaps concerning kids with special needs, afterall these soaps are supposed to be realistic.

ive noiced in the soaps that people are cured very quickly as well,at moment stringray is an alcoholic but give it a couple of weeks and he wont be!!

one minute someone is bankrupt, the next they are buying a business!!

i do enjoy soaps but dont care if i miss them

Have you noticed at how many of the patients in Holby need resustitating and never make it? Also there operations are always life and death. I bet even a varicous veins ligation would even result in someone's life hanging in the balance poorly

An in Eastenders no one ever works outside the square! and they all have time for a pint at lunch time wine
