Title: Which music era was the best??

Minxy - March 24, 2006 09:04 AM (GMT)
Have to say it I'm an 80's girlie!!

It's 80's for me all the time, with the likes of Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Thompson Twins etc

What era rocks your world?

Elvira - March 24, 2006 01:13 PM (GMT)
Ooh this is a tough one, I like stuff from all eras buuuuut I think I'd have to say the late 80's because of all the pretty boy rock bands:

Whitesnake, Europe, Bon Jovi etc.

Those were the days yss

Adrian - March 24, 2006 01:52 PM (GMT)
Ive had almost all the Now thats what I call music Albums from the 80's
There was some good music, some bad music and some even worse hair styles and suits :)

Probably the best era would be late 70's early 80's
Things Like Led Zepplin, Iron Maiden, Motorhead and early stuff by Aerosmith

I use to love all that stuff :)

Of course things started to get worse when they took less drugs, had more baths and got bigger perms.

caldcot01 - March 24, 2006 02:12 PM (GMT)

Adamsaunt - March 24, 2006 10:23 PM (GMT)
Oh god the 80's most definitely!! Big hair, even bigger glasses....... Oh those were the days... Our kids just haven't lived. Did anybody have those awful suede pixy boots that automatically "relaxed" around your ankles after the first wear???

Elvira - March 24, 2006 10:29 PM (GMT)
I had those boots, mine were pink. I looked great in them too ;) I have a photo of me from the 80's if anyone wants a laugh. I had the big hair, red lipstick and high heels and thought I looked wonderful. I was also a size 8! Dunno what happened. chocky ln

Druss - March 25, 2006 07:52 AM (GMT)
It has to be the 80's

Minxy - March 25, 2006 11:19 AM (GMT)
My pixie boots were red swede and when they got wet they sent my socks pink. Yes, they also sagged after I wore them once and I used to have to to screw up my toes at times to hold them on.

Elvira - March 25, 2006 05:33 PM (GMT)
I've been brave (or stupid!) and posted my 80's photo in the msn group. Come on girls, lets see yours :D

Minxy - March 25, 2006 06:55 PM (GMT)
I have one of me in the very late 80's when I dyed my hair blonde. I'll add that in a bit, if I'm feeling brave. Mind you I was thin then so its ok, you can see it :D

Minxy - March 26, 2006 02:03 PM (GMT)
OMG Sandra your 80's pic is sooooo cool!!!

Elvira - March 26, 2006 04:59 PM (GMT)
HA! I thought I was really something back then. I had a calender done by a professional photographer, me and a friend went, it was a great laugh. I got it done so I could remember having a figure before I had kids, a premonition I think! It's amazing how a few years and a few kids can change us isn't it.

Mind you I think my kids would disown me if I tried to go out dressed like that now - even if I did still have the figure for it!

Your turn Mandy and everyone else, lets see you all in your BC (before children) days. :D

Adrian - March 27, 2006 09:17 PM (GMT)
Maybe if you were going to a Fancy Dress Party, although all the CFC gasses in the hair spray cans probably played its part in destroying the ozone layer.

Elvira - March 27, 2006 09:19 PM (GMT)
HA! You sound just like my dad ;)

Ohhhh...loved the very late eighties early nineties for two types of music

House music...BRING BACK GOOD OLD ILLEGAL RAVES...where you had to follow posters and it would be in the middle of nowhere....in some old unsuspecting farmers field....with me neon sticks...me whistle...and me big fish...little fish...cardboard box dance!

AND...how good were The Stone Roses and The Charlatans and Happy Mondays...top dollar!

All that coupled with Dallas (which I can play the theme tune to on a recorder...oh yes I can!!!) oh and rara skirts (yes...u oldies...I mean the first time round) you cant beat it!
