Ah yes... XP and its so called "compatibility issues". It most likely is NOT your drive, but XP's uncertainity of the stability of Scen with its other programs. To run Scenarion in XP, I have done extensive "trail and error" research and have found that it is merely a long road of doing things:

Firstly, Scenario was made before XP, back when it was MOST compatible with 98, however, XP's "Compatibility" options don't affect anything about it. You must personally setup your XP environment to comply with Scenario's standards, so to speak.

Scenario runs best if you monitr\or displays in 16-bit color and 640x480 resolution. To do so, on most newer models and monitors, you must open your display properties (right-clicking the desktop, and selecting properties) and locating your settings tab near the top of the dialog box. Once you have this protion up, choose the "Advance" button near the bottom, a new dialog box should appear. Select "Adapter" and look near the bottom for the button "List All Modes". If present, open and search for 640 by 480, High Colo(16 bit), the hertz if your refresh rate, chose to you content. After this, there is more to be done.

I have personally done the following and it turns out just fine, so if you chose to do so on your father's laptop, it will not harm it. If the error is given to you "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32/AUTOEXEC.NT then your autoexec.nt file need to be deleted. Windows will automatically instill a new one when it is called for again. This file has stopped many older programs from operating for me, so I killed it... or so I thought, until I ran Scenario again and it autoinstalled itself and Scenario ran just fine. I took the liberty to search the file down on my PC, they appeared in c:\WINDOWS\repair and C:\WINDOWS\system32. My advice, copy and paste these original to a different folder BEFORE deleting them, incase your windows has some error reinstalling them. If that's the case merely paste them back where they came, and no harms done. If it goes correctly, it should automatically make new ones that work just fine.

Yes, I already thought of that before but it's too risky, not sure if it could be safe just by deleting it (and backup it).Now that you say so, I guess I'll just do that ^^.
Just need a recomendation, hehehe.

Looks like you were wrong, It's not to delete the AUTOEXEC.NT, instead, we are supposed to install it at system32.Finally I can use scenario on my own PC !!
