Look how similar this bitch and the dog in your Avatar are Juckler <_<
And their bred over a hundred and twenty years apart :o
The dog in your avatar is by Edward Landseer and hangs in Towneley Hall, just down the road from me.
It was painted in the 1880,s and shows Prince Albert's favorite dog which he brought with him from Germany.............the first import?
Wonder were he got it from? <_<

Saluki "Mac"

  Cheers for the info :Good:
As you say they havent changed the one i had in the late seventies was the same a bit heavier coated maybe and not as much tan he was only 23 1/2 inch and needed a fen to catch em will see if theres any pics at my old ladys as he was retired there.
Heard the cruse line are fast for pures how do you rate them.

Yes, they've plenty of pace :greys Brought mine up local (lancs) and he was catching daytime rabbits at eleven months :)

Love the good going, ran boozer at Selby with him late Nov one year, lovely going ;)

Beat him 5-1 in the match, Boozer being Boozer  , said all mine were "mugs!"

On the way back i put him on two more and he caught them, so he got 7/7 that day and had plenty of running left in him :D

Went to the same place a couple of weeks later, really heavy going, and he caught 2-5...........saying that, they were all good runs and some dogs didn't even get a bend in that day :o

Wilber bred a litter out of Amazing Ali (Cruiser's litter mate),one of them is the mother to Kahn, and they were VERY quick  Saw em run on March fen at 12months old, flying up and knocking the hares about in good style ;)
Everyone was trying to buy them off him after

All the ones Ive seen are " up and at em" and certainly didn't need a fen ;)
