I ran across
this today on DeviantArt, it's a photo of a brindle Saluki taken in the United Arab Emirates. Interesting.
Another They are definitely naturally occurring I don't know why the western Saluki breeders refuse to except them, well I do know its because they see it as signs of greyhound blood. Afghans are without doubt of the same origin and they carry brindle colouring.
I've seen many other photos showing brindles.

i remember, in 80's, have seen 2 brindle salukis in belgium, both born in iran ; perhaps earlier ,a german breeder had also one ; i never understand why standard forbid this color ;
