Are there still many Rampur Hounds kept in india for hunting?

There was to be a presentation on India Dogs at the recent Aboriginal Dog Conference held in Kazakhstan which I was really looking forward to hearing however the speaker was not able to attend, I have long been interested in the types of sighthounds India has, their relationship to Salukis and the animals they hunt.

I'd love to hear more about life in India with sighthounds.
