I would like to see Blue Seed played. Maybe one or two episodes?

We have the discs for the series, so it's possible.

Hmm... What about a concert video from like, Hyde or somebody? Or maybe the Gravitation series? I don't know. Something for yaoi fans, at least a little bit, K? Ai no Kusabi's an 18+ tape or DVD, if you get it fansubbed.

Concert video is certainly out of the question. Further review of the video room forums will show that we're pretty gungho about just showing anime. (A possible exception would be for a recast of a concert with our musical guest, or promotion of a current guests works).
I'll have to check on our video schedule from last year, but I'm pretty sure we showed at least one of those. We have really fucking diverse video rooms!

Most is probably incorrect. There is little research on the subject so it's all just speculation. With this, as with most things, the safest assumption is there is a silent majority out there that philosophically differs from the loudest minorities.
In short, yeah there are a lot of screaming fangirls, but there are a lot more people out there who aren't!

No one is shunning you or shutting you out. You said most anime fans like jpop and I said that's probably not true, and currently impossible to determine.

No one has questioned your anime knowledge either. While you haven't given any evidence that you're well rounded by any means, you've certainly seen some titles that most people haven't even heard of. Several of which we've shown at the con.

If there is anything you're doing to get yourself shunned it is replying to every post, and overreacting to critisism. Despite the appearance that vince and enishi may give, we're a college age con and these are generally more mature forums. We don't feed each others egos, and we're certainly not below calling out someone who is wrong. We debate stuff, disagree, and demand evidence for statements treated like fact.
I don't claim to know how old you are, where you're from, what your level of education is, or what your gender is, and frankly it doesn't matter as long as you can interact well with people here. No one has shunned you, no one has rejected you. If you're so insecure that you feel we have, then you should take some time to figure out where that is comming from and how to move beyond it.

Otherwise just chill out and sample the atmosphere of the community before you dive headfirst into it and make bold asseritions about our attitudes towards you.

I don't think there is a hosted list of what we showed last year, but we had a pretty eclectic video room to be sure. Our specific Yaoi block had Song of Wind and Trees and ai no kusabi. I don't think we did Kazuna or FAKE this year, but we have to save something for next year!

Past that we played stuff from 3000 leagues in search of mother to Goldfish Warning to Wanna-be's to Yokohama shopping trip!

I noticed that the other day, too. It works fine the first time around, but the board code turns the : tags : into IMG tags after the post is submitted. And if the post is edited, the lethargic tags appear in the posted text. But they go away if you edit again and remove them.

Good question, Mike. I wondered about that too. The images are there and being served properly, but something about the board itself is socked it would seem.

For Watase though, if anything, Episodes 14-15-16 of Fushigi Yugi, subbed, I feel like saying I want to see. I know its played alot at conventions, but I think they usually only play the first couple episodes. I think that part is one of the parts that really brings out the best of the series, and you don't really need to any other episodes to understand it.

Although is's already (supposebly) a fan favorite.

Magical girl anime I'd like to see too, but I think I can count on some of that being there.

And still Blue Seed.

Why not have at least some time in one of the rooms to show video from the last Anime Punch, like the Steve Conte concert, the Eva Puppet Show, Cosplay stuff, etc?

For that matter, there could be a propaganda reel for other (frinedly) cons?

I would like to see some of the early Gainax work like Otaku no Video and the original Gunbuster. Why not Gunbuster 2 while I'm thinking outloud? The Hellsing Ultimate OVAs are sweet too. Gotta love an OVA with the Konami Code in it lol. Hell maybe Akira or some original Mobile Suit Gundam to educate the kids these days.

Although it might be hard to show the original Gundam series, as it still hasn't had a Japanese language release here in the States (Furuya Tohru is Amuro Rei; any argument to the contrary is heresy).

Wait, the Hellsing OVAs are bad? Shoot. Well, I guess it's good that I haven't seen them yet, but that's dissapointing, I was hoping for better than the series.

Farfner or Basalisk are possibilities, though I haven't seen either. I did show Farfner at Ikasucon but it wasn't well recieved. It's been a few years though, so who knows.

Everything else you mentioned was on TV recently, so I'm not going to show it.

I know GITS II is owned by a real company, so we can't get our hands on it, but GITS original might still be accessible to us, and if so there is a good chance I'll show it. Actually, I'm hoping Solid State Society will be available to us on some level. If I could get my hands on that to show I would be most pleased (I love GITS stuff!)

I probably would have liked sCRYed a little more had I not gotten the entire manga already. FMA is overdone at this point, SEED is seen as universally lame, I think (let's do ∀ or Victory), and Samurai Champloo/Cowboy Bebop are still in repeat limbo on AS, afaik. Trinity blood is being shown? Really? Cool, I guess. If we could do SSS and the second or third episode of SAC 2nd Gig, that would be cool ( the thief episode). Eureka seveN might still be worth showing some of, I get the feeling.

I'll throw in my two cents. Because I feel like it XD... Though hell, half of this stuff is just anime that people told me to go out and see at Ohayocon. Actually, strike that, all of it is. (come to think of it, I'm pretty sure Mike threw about half of these at me o.O)

First of all two words or um one word twice lol......... Green Green. Its awesome/hilarious/most fanservice I've seen since Ikki Tousen. Speaking of which how bout Ikki Tousen? I have heard good things about Kare Kano too but have yet to see any of it. Blood the Last Vampire is awesome. Possibly the Blood + series that follows it. I wonder about the second season of Ah! My Goddess it hasn't been lisenced for US distribution yet has it? It would be cool to find some of it. Great Teacher Onizuka is good.
