I'm sorry for not having time to watch every damn giant robots series they crank out, they are all the same except for Rahxephon and EVA. And I do know what Robotech is, I get Anime Network for crying out loud, except I don't waste my time watching their OLD SCHOOL block. I'm not sure how much overlap there is between puppets and piñatas. The big problem is that piñatas generally involve papier-mâché which has to dry.

Heh, Rahxephon and Eva being different shows ^_^. Well, I'll agree that Eva is yards beyond the average mecha show, and Rahxephon does a damn good job copying it, making itself a great stand-alone show as well.

However, Robotech isn't just another giant robot show either. It was one of the most influential and uniting shows in American fandom. There are more suplimentary works and technical manuals for it than probably any other show, possibly even moreso than gundam!! It is largly responcible for the number of fans in America today, and in its time it was one of the most mature shows to hit American airwaves. Even today, few anime that have been on daytime TV (or even nighttime) have had such graphic and realistic displays of human emotion, relationships, and the effect of war on people. Even today there are really no shows marketed towards kids that depict killing, genoside, sex, and interracial issues.

And regardless of what your 1.5 years of experience say, I would bet the farm that the vast majority of fans have seen robotech, or at least know who Minmei is. Also, (incase you havn't gotten so pissed off your never coming back... btw, please don't get pissed off!) I recomend watching the old and the new. Movies like Akira and Ranma are often better and far more compelling than their newer equivelants like Sin or Fruit Baskets. There are a lot of great new shows, but that is neither reason nor excuse to not see the old ones.

For the record, to my knowledge, everyone on senior staff has been into anime for at least ten years! Fear our combined knowledge, and like... having seen stuff like Brain Powered. (BTW, you don't have to watch Brain Powered. For your sake don't!)

yeah, ten or eleven. I had seen a lot of stuff earlier than that too, but that was the age that I first started seeking it out specifically.

I'm sorry, but whoever doesn't like sasuke is a total loser. He does not get the spotlight in Naruto, even though he should have his own manga/anime all to himself, he's that damn cool. I will be cosplaying as him to prove my statement. And why do people think the heir of the Uchihas is whiny? he hardly ever speaks! You only hate sasuke cause he's cooler than you. Oh, and I like the lottery idea.

Oh great, a Sasuke fan. The only time I like Sasuke is when he's in bed with Naruto or, dare I say it, Itachi. He's a spoiled little brat most of the time and needs to die a bloody death. "Oh, my brother killed my family and mind-raped me. I'm gonna go angst in the corner and try to kill my best friend now. And look, now I'm going to run off with Orochimaru Jackson so he can molest me like the child I am and I can almost get some of the coolest characters in the series killed!"

Uchihacest is just plain nasty. Where did people get the idea to pair up sasuke with his brother? The thought of both of them in bed makes me vomit. I don't like yaoi, but if Naruto and Sasuke doing it floats your boat, I don't care. Just don't glomp me when I cosplay, please. Is it lame to say that I don't know any of the naruto story beyond what's been published in the U.S., because I won't download the manga on the net, because that's piracy? I won't download the anime either, and I'm too poor to buy it on import.

If that is the case I suggest we postpone the flame war until everyone has done their homwork. Really, once he has seen that far in the show/manga I really doubt he'll still think Sasuke is cool.

I'm a little curious about how cosplaying him will "prove your point", unless you happen to be like... the coolest guy in the building at the time.
That would be impossible though, since I'll be there.

Actually, while we're on the subject...

Another character I really hate is Itachi. His motivations are totally inconsistant, and it's almost like they wrote what he did first, then 100 episodes later got around to wondering why he did it. His reasons for destroying the Uchihas make about as much sense as Anakin going darkside to save Padme! Uchihas are just such little bitches!

Most hated anime character? Well so far I agree that Yajirobe from DBZ should die, and maybe Chi-Chi too..boy did she get annoying.

I know Transformers Armada isn't listed as an anime, but any Armada inspired pinata I would beat the s**t out of. Boy was that a terrible series.

Oh..and maybe Kuwabara from Yu-Yu Hakusho. He's a moron. :D

AAAARGH! I've only seen the first 15 Eva episodes so far! NO MORE SPOILERS! But, I had this funny feeling that Kaji was going to die... Which reminds me, what order do I watch the 2 Evangelion movies in? There's DEath and Rebirth, right, and then Endo of Evangelion, but which order do you watch them in? You're supposed to watch them after you've seen the whole series, right?
Oh, and Kaji must die because he's annoying, and somewhat of a traitor. Misato was right to have dumped him in the first place.

Anyhow, Death and rebirth lead into End of Evangelion. Actually, I think Rebirth is just the first ten minutes of End. Death sort of takes you through the show.

So far there are a few ways of looking at it, but it can basically be divided into two schools of thought.
1) Death rebuilds the series for an alternate ending
2) The TV ending is just what's going on inside of Shinji while End is what's going on outside.

I like 2 myself.

Safety from safety&risky really cute anime. It is possible to die from suger posion from this show. Safety is a angel while reisky's a shinigami. There just something about safetys voice and sweetness that gets on your nerves after 5 seconds.

Just call me Naru. It's not any more lame than Kaiser. What, are you a Gravion fan or something? Anyway, this Safety and Risky thing sounds like it might be really funny. Or pure, sugary evil. Anyway, I wanna watch it.

Hellsing- I love you!!! Risky Safty is my all-time least favorite show, mainly because of...well.. everything, but especially safty!!!

Gravion is a show no one has actually seen, and I am amazed that Naru knows about I think it's girls in power-suits in space or something like that.

What do you mean, Gravion is a show no one has ever seen!?! I'm no fan, but it's a totally mainstream, not too shabby Gundam ripoff which is just original enough to merit watching.
