Title: Game help...

My cousin picked up Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 4, mainly because it looked like fun, and last year, I played the Japanese version of Naruto: Clash of the Ninja and enjoyed that a lot.

Now the problem is that we can't seem to get my PS2 to run it. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do to get it to play. We have that Magic Slide thing, but that didn't work either.

Now, the fundamental error I'm seeing here is that Naruto Gekito Ninja Taisen is a Game Cube game, and you're trying to play it on a PSII.

If you mean Narultimate hero 3, then you would still need an import PSII probably.

At one point there were swap disks for PS2; have they found a way to circumvent them?

I mixed up my titles. It's the other one you mentioned, I think. ^^

My cousin still has the game, so I couldn't go check it myself.

PS2 swapdisks only work sometimes, and you need to mod the ps2 to topload since it auto clears its memory when you hit the eject button.

Well that sucks about swap-disks (that's what I figured I'd do anyway, sorta like that Action replay thing I use to change the region to 2 to watch my DVDs). I bet an imported PS2 would cost a lot, though. ><;;; My poor cuz when I tell him this news.

StromVogel bought an import recently, if he's still on here (on anywhere... Where did you go!) then he can probably tell you cost and how to find it).

If not, you can talk to Game Junkie. They know games, so they might know what to do to make it play imports.

I'll pass this, shall we say, queery along, I'm not personally an expert on PS2 importology, but one question, is it an old fatty or a new slim PS2?

I'm around...lurking.

If you don't have much money, then going for a swap magic device is a good option. Another method which I have little experience with involves changing your console system id to Japan, using the paradox id changer. Google it...you'll find plenty of forums with help info. You can change your id back to NTSC for playing U.S. games as well.

Buying a regular Japanese ps2 will set you back around $200. I bought a ceramic white slim ps2 for $219 with an additional thirty bucks for shipping. I bought it off of Lik-sang. A great site for your import needs. Lik-sang

The old one.

Okay, I'm definitely passing on that, especially since I want to buy myself a Gamecube since I'm sick of having to go to others' houses just to play any GC games I have.
