Here is what I have thought of so far

-Wake at sunrise for traditional martial arts training

- Build "That" tent again, just because!

- Some sort of Survival game, like airsoft or paintball

- Outdoors cosplay (AKA, a cosplay endurance costume, whose costume is the best after a weekend of rough play outdoors)

- A bon-fire

-Maybe get a car with a good sound system to provide music for a dance or something, if a lot of people show.

Some event ideas I had:

Cosplay Marathon: To go with the ultimate durable cosplay, it would be a race set up for cosplayers. First one to the end wins.

Generator+Projector Fun: Find a hillside, or a tree, or something to project random anime, AMVs, etc on. Theme the showings with survival flicks. Battle Royale is a must.

The Inevitable Return of Swimsuit Cosplay: If our location has a pond or lake where swimming's allowed, why not bring it back?

Ghost Stories: Anime-themed Tales of Terror, done in the style of the old SNICK show "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"

Anime Punch Project: What happens when you give a camera to a staffer, tell him/her stories of horror and hauntings in the nearby woods, and then send him/her to investigate?

Iron Chef Fanfic & Fanart Contest: Showdown for the best hand-done fanworks in the land. Timed and categorized.

Random Exploration: Because we can.

My car has excellent, LOUD speakers (Infinity's, I think). The only problem is that the CD-player's virtually bust. If someone wants to bring one of the radio-tuner dealies to hook up to an iPod or my mp3-player walkman, we could prolly get some fun stuff going. Or if someone shows up with a car with an even better system, and a sub. Hooray for subs.

As far as projector and rain, toss a tarp over it. It isn't that big, and if you've got it sitting off the ground on like a milkcrate, it's easy to keep dry.

What about another katamari?

Or duct taping people to trees...or poles...or making a human Katamari?

Well, RV's wouldn't be permitted anyway, because that is like... too much technology. Hell, tents are stretching it!
This also isn't the kind of thing to bring non-taku parents along for. If you're not old enough to come by yourself you probably shouldn't be comming.

RVs wouldn't be permitted because the campsite prolly won't be able to support them, in addition to what Mike said. We're looking at bare minimals here: source of water, toilets, and that's about it. No electric, no hot water, no real creature-comforts. It's like boy-or-girl scouts all over again ^_^

personally I think toilets are too much as well, but... whatever

You can come as long as your parents are cool with dropping you off! But with so few people there, and so little else to do, it would suck to have some kid there with their parents hovering over them the whole time, arguing with us, and imposing their will. I think we all had enough soccer momery at the armageddicon!

Whenever you have a bunch of otakus roaming freely somewheren the woods, you're pretty much guaranteed an orgy of some sort :P .

Another idea would be to have a "coldsprings". We can't make a hotspring, but we can sure as hell all jump in a lake or stream or something.

At anyrate, I rather get away from dumbshit ideas like these and get some that we can actually schedule. This whole event may be a novelty in and of itself, but we can at least have respectable events!

Mike, I would say the Katamari would be good to have again.

I'm not sure how Katamari's and Zero impact camping work together, but maybe!

Well the reason I would say to have it, is you think it was good at the con, now immagine outdoors...

I mean you can even get cars in this, tents, random people, trees, ect...

As for costumes, Bring in LORD OF THE RINGS and the elves!!! YAY!! I have Elf ears but they would too hard to wear and put on for something isolated from a bathroom.

I'm bring a boombox of some sort for music...

I think dodge ball would be cool, if we could bring some of those really large bouncy balls (2 for 5$ at Walmart or 1 for 2.40 at K-Mart/Target) or even beach balls.
