I didn't see a thread for this yet, so I figured I'd make one. Who do you want to see at AP '07? Don't just post what you think can happen, post your dreams! Maybe miracles can happen! Hey, at least I can hope :-P

Me, I want more music! Bring the Spoony Bards back, and get some other cool band. Preferable Japanese. Like Ayumi Hamasaki, or The Pillows, or MOVE, or Kotoko, or Nobuo Uematsu, or... :-P Yeah. And we should have like a world-famous DJ spinning the rave. Like DJ Sammy or something. Nothing against the DJs we currently have rockin' the con scene, heck, something like DJ Ed and DJ Sammy working in tandem would be incredible! Yeah, now I'm really dreaming.

As far as non-musical guests, I still want to meet Ian McConville. Neil Cicierega would be cool too. Wait, that's another musical guest, well kinda. Uhm... I dunno. I'm not that big on voice actors and I don't really know of anyone else. But we MUST have someone this time who can run a Yuri panel dangit! Yuri needs more love!

Three things.
1. I think its funny how the con ended just over 2 weeks ago and were already planning for next year =p
2. Nobuo Uematsu. Lol. They'd have to raise the price to like, $200 per person to get him xD Though it might bring in morer Final Fantasy fans..Thus raising the total gross income of the event..
3. I think Kuwai-sensei should come back, and..I dunno, I don't really have any people I REALLY want to see, because I really don't know any names.

How about Richard Epcar. He has done a bunch of different voices (Batou, Bobobo, Ziggy, etc.). Plus, he has worked in the production part of the voice actor industry.

No, no, nevermind my secret agenda to get the autograph of every English Xenosaga voice actor. I mean we already had chaos and Albedo at AP '06, why not Ziggy for '07. :D

Speaking of realistic guests, bring back Steve Conte. He's awesome! Also get Scott Mcneil and Monica Rial.

I'm usually the guy in the back who just follows, so I would most likely be happy with anything done next year, although.......

As far as new guests go, bring Johnny Yong Bosch (my hero! XD) and Mona Marshall. THEN will have the main cast members from Wolf's Rain.

Kairi Walgreen and/or Steve Blum would be cool too.

Anywho, it's been already mentioned a few posts up, but I'd love to see MOVE (I'm still kicking myself for missing them when they came for the con in Northern Virginia last year). I love this group, and it'd be cool since they're going to be going on 10 years pretty soon, too. I'd love to see them do something live, since official release of their lives are quite rare. Aside from them, a Japanese artist'll be nice to see in general.

Hm, how about bringing back Steve Conte and also include Sakamoto Maaya. lol I know I wouldn't mind hearing another duet by 'em or something like that. ^^

I'm not into voice actors as much as I am music groups/artists, and not very knowledgeable where they're concerned, but I'll suggest one. How about the voice actress, Mona Marshall; she's pretty well-known, to my knowledge. She's done a lot of anime/game related stuff, such as Chobits, Digimon, Card Captor Sakura, Love Hina, Fushigi Yuugi, Trigun (I'm pretty sure she's done a character on there)...those are all I can think of right off.

Well definitely the spoony bards, they were great. And they saved our asses when the sound sytem didn't work.

and personally after that I'm not there to see the guests I'm there for the people and the raves.

I just enjoy going to cons to be with people who like going to cons. I'm not amazed by the stars, especially ones who say they'll show up for something and then don't.

I notice everyone keeps mentioning the Spoony Bards... I just assumed they were a "must have" or an "automatic choice", since they were pretty sweet. In other words, I didn't think we would've had to even request them since I bet it's unanimous for a return by 'em. ^_^

Yeah, you don't have to mention the Bards, we'll be sure to bring them back! Same goes for guests we've had, they will all be invited back. If you're not interested in guests then you don't have to post here! Also, don't ask for a guest if you yourself wouldn't actually go to their panels.

Also, what we're really interested in is guests you don't see anywhere else. Sure Ayers is cool, but you can see him all over the place. Give us the people you havn't seen before that you really want to meet! I also am interested in what kinds of guests you want besides VA's. Personally I'm really proud of the number of academic guests we were able to pull, do people want to see more of them.

Basically anyone who was involved in Slayers. xD Heck, I'd die happy [and surprisingly not in the Apocalypse] if I ever met Masami Suzuki (Ameria - Slayers, Shinta/Young Kenshin - Rurouni Kenshin OVA, Chacha - Akazukin Chacha, Yukino - Gatekeepers, etc.)

As for non-VAs/academic...um...maybe not so academic, but maybe a sushi chef person to have a sushi-making panel/demo? Also, the Penny Arcade guys. XD

Hey, if Mona Marshall showed up, I know I'd go. She's kind of a fav voice actress for me in general since she has done so many roles, even outside of anime-based things, like South Park for example.

Oh, I didn't know you wanted requests outside of musicians and voice actors. I'll have to get back to you on that one, though. ^^

Too bad you couldn't manage to get a creator of one of the main-stream shows that's uber popular here in the states. I bet that'd cost an arm and both legs. ><

Here's one of the staffers who was usually up to something 24/7 throughout the con, and I have to add my note of appreciation to the Spoony Bards, their near constant music kept the con feeling alive no matter what time it actually was.

I believe that the Rocky Horror Anime Show should definately come back. But this time I get to be in it. And...uhh...yeah. The Rocky Horror Anime Show.

The other thing I liked was the Bad Anime Room. Keep that. And I liked the one panel who's name escapes me - it was on Sunday, possibly Cosplay 101 - but it was a lot of fun.

Ok I have to second a request for JYB after Matsuri I remembered how much of a hero he was to me as a kid. ;_; but I had to be all professional and forgot to ask for his autograph. At least I got run over by the pimp bus.

Here's something I've been curious of for a while. How exactly do you all manage to get the guests to attend? Especially those who are directly from Japan? *Still crossing fingers for you all to get MOVE* :hippy:

We hired a "Guest Fairy" who looks strangely like Sakura from CCS. She does this magical-girl dance routine and it attracts guests from far and wide like moths to a flame. Then we net them and transport them to our Secret Underground Guest Holding Facility (SUGHoF), where they stay in solitary confinement with only 80's anime to keep them company until the time the con rolls around.

I personally want to see FF7 Monty Python and The Holy Grail.

We definately should get Crispin Freeman to return this year!!!!!!!! It was great to meet him in person as well as hear the comments he presented in the various discussion groups last year. And I don't know if it is possible, but the Ohayoo Con this year sucked pretty hard since they didn't have Chris Sabat and Lauren Baily return >W< this could be a chance to whoop their sorry hides.

But my deep burning passion is to meet Liam O'Brien, uh! And not just b/c of Naruto either, this goes waaaay back!!! Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*tears of blood and hand reaching from throat*
