So who all's planning to go to Fieldcon? For those who don't know, it's AP's summer camping event! We're going to take some campground by storm and make the best use of what we can find lying around. It'll be like an RPG! Or something. We're still hunting the perfect location, but you can expect trees. And fields. And probably more trees. Maybe a nice river or pond to add variation to the mix. Yeah, that nature stuff. Can otaku survive the wilderness?

Anywho, true to AP standards, we'll take any event you ask for and try to make it happen! So what do you want to see out of Fieldcon? Speak up and be heard!

If you are looking for a great place, and you don't care how far away it is, Hocking Hills (aka. Old Mans caves) has a lot of good ones, but that is getting about 2 hours away from columbus. ^_~

I am sure most would rather stay closer to home though.

That is a good place. But when I camped there once, we got our coolers stollen ^^;;

The Hocking Hills region was the first place that came to mind ^_^ It's a high possibility that that's where it'll be. So much to see and do! Quite possibly the best scenery in the state. Caves and waterfalls. All that fun stuff.

What is it rains? Soggy pocky and drenched cosplay that people worked on for weeks will not be very fun o.o;; I dunno..Maybe if we bought massive amounts of steel poles and tarps...Hmm..I might go. Maybe. If the weathers good.

Rain...there is no such thing in Ohio.

I would say a rain coat, and a tarp would be a good idea to bring.
Other than that, just be prepared for any weather.

This isn't any standard anime con, hell, this isn't even crazy like Armageddicon was! This is so far out that it's not relatable! This is going to be a bunch of otaku in the middle of no where!

RPB, I'm thinking the AEC are a better choice over Hocking Hills, just because they are so poppy. We want to go somewhere miles from anyone else, especially since we're likely to be rowdy!

Plus we have about 500 left over program guides from AP Armageddicon 1 for a bon-fire!

lmao Thats a lot of guides xD Dude! If were out in the middle of nowhere we can set off fireworks and crap! And what I meant by the tarp Mishi, would be to set up steal poles and tie the tarps over them to make a huge tent which we would all be dry under o.O;;

No dry areas for anyone, unless you make it by tree limbs...lol.

As far as rain, that's when you start grilling under a tarp spread between trees when there's a tornado a mile away. Yes, I've done that before.

I don't have a tent or an rv camper so I probably wont go unless I know someone I can stay with. And my university doesnt start til August 26ish, I think.

Well I was on a cruise for the AP 06' event, so I missed out on that event. But depending how things go this might be something that could be fun.
