Description: Ramen Eating Contest

Vincent - April 12, 2006 01:05 PM (GMT)
Come on, who out there doesn't want to eat massive amounts of ramen AND get prizes for doing so?

ookami-san - April 12, 2006 04:09 PM (GMT)
I DO. But...we conversed about a ramen eating contest befor AP '06 but im not too sure it worked. If we are going to do it in 2007 it needs to be more organized...WAY more orginized.
But other than that it is a very good idea. We would need bibs so as not to ruin our costumes.

Kotoko - April 12, 2006 05:36 PM (GMT)
We should have tried to eat the ramen guy, that would have been funny lol

Vincent - April 12, 2006 07:11 PM (GMT)
:lolguy: True! It would have been awesome. We shoulda just cornered him and pounced like hungry lions o.O

I had a ramen eating contest in my room when my mom wasn't there. The hotel wouldn't let me have the contest out in the main area...Damn them-was told that they could have one-the next hotel, I swear I'll ask them.

Maybe you can have a pocky eating contest as well. But I don't think we need any more sugar....

that could be arranged

Kaisermikeb - April 20, 2006 03:40 AM (GMT)
um... just incase you didn't realize. A pockey eating contest would be lame and expensive. A normal 12 year old girl could probably eat well over 200 bucks of pockey and still not be full!

Vincent - April 20, 2006 05:17 AM (GMT)
Agreed. So ramen it is. We can bring a tarp, a fold out table, lots of chairs, lots of ramen, bowls, forks(just to be fair, not everyone can use chopsticks), we'll need lots of glasses of cold water..hmm.. The ramen should be let to cool for a few minutes. Eating boiling hot ramen does not equal fun..Heck, I might even be able to supply the ramen if I get a number of how much we'd need. And we could even put the extra in a big bowl in the con suite and people could get bowls of it, like those styrofoam bowls?

More like if you went to my room I had that going..><

And yes, I told you guys on the board I started for Ramen Eating Contest that would probably have to be in my room...yes, I moved the beds and everything!

SSJ Jup81 - April 21, 2006 02:05 AM (GMT)
That'd be so cool! I was wondering about the contest for AP '06. My cousin was interested in it. I wanted to that Bawls chugging contest...after tasting the stuff...but I don't want my heart exploding, so I passed on that. :-p

Going back on-topic, I know I couldn't eat that much Ramen, maybe two bowls at the most, but I wouldn't mind watching others participate in it.

What would be the prize for the winner?

Vincent - April 21, 2006 06:39 AM (GMT)
The same prize as everything else, anime DVDs of course xD-Thats another thing, maybe get a variety of prizes, swag and such, back packs, figures, those cool pillows, DVDs are still good though.

Kikki - April 30, 2006 03:46 AM (GMT)
I would without a doubt participate! Would there be a time limit or just how many bowls ya ate? and how big would the bowls be? About average size?

kikki, probably like average sized, and then maybe at time limit towards the final rounds. -probably maybe a two day process- and Kikki, I was waiting for you to bring it at AP this year.
