What with the StepMania box with over 1800 songs and the two metal pads and what not. I had a lot of fun and even managed to stomp out an A on PARANOIA survivor on Heavy. Kudos to whoever thought of that idea! ^_^

Awesome. I wasn't in the DDR room much, but the few times I used it, I had a blast.

My friend Danielle was in there alot, -didn't really mean to leave her in there, but she insisted- but I tried it, and found out it doesn't work to well to do DDR in a really long Kimono.

Other than that, it was really fun I actually got a C on it for once.

wearing shoes while playing on a non arcade located DDR pad can damage the pad more quickly not to mention dirty it up

Like, when you don't have your shoes on, your not like damaging the pad, even if it is metal though. But when I was in the DDR room on Saturday-which was alot because of Danielle- the pad kept malfunctioning, and alot of people wer saying it was because alot of guys were coming in and like pounding, not like a nomral DDR person who is addicted would do, but like, sludge hammer pounding to where it died.

o__o yeah, when i was in the DDR room on saturday, the up key on one of the pads was practically dead. x__x it was pretty depressing in a "am i really that bad, or is it the pad tripping me up? and if so, whyyyy, those are expensiiivee" kind of way. xD;

otherwise, the line system also seemed a bit funked. me and my friend were hanging out in the DDR room for what seemed like more than half an hour to get a turn, because some people kept on shifting ahead of us and we felt too nice to go and say GRAAHH NOOO OUR TURNN DAMMIT! >.> but the music rocked! so many songs it was hard to decide on any! XD

and another otherwise goes here, just to note that when dressed up as a naruto character (sasugay in my case), DDR tends to make things fall off. or shake off. or something. and the sandals kill. D: but still, the awesomeness of DDR made up for it. a little. XD

Did you remember a Kaoru having to tie the bottom of the Kimono up to even do the ddr?

I know I was in sandels when I plaued..(flip flops, as I call them) But I don't think that bare feet would be good. (although I can play ddr barefoot, and I have before...I just clean the pads before, and afterwards...lol)

Socks are what people should use. And we need Cobalt Flux pads.

well I did clean off my flip flops if that counts.

(sorry a habit I formed from playing DDR at gameworks...their pads suck..lol(so dusty, so "we" (the people who go a lot, every week....clean the pads, and our shoes each time before we play, and around the area...lol)

Do we know how we're getting DDR here? Are we going to have a cabinet or stepmania? Soft pads or Metal? I need details, I might be able to bring some things (pads, cleaners, water cooler, fans, disks full of songs and simfiles)

I would really like to see an Extreme or an ITG2 cabinet there. If I could get a large group to chip in together we might be able to rent one for at least one day, and get all the tournaments done then. Somebody please fill me in on the details.

And about tournaments? I don't see any information anywhere...

Always assume tournaments and SM/Console. Cabinet is not that common...

Well, I I did make those assumptions. It always seems good to ask people who know, that way, my assumptions can be replaced with facts.

Heh, when did you wait in line? Me and my friends played a total of like 5-6 times all weekend, and we had as short of a wait as 2 people at like 9am one day and as long as maybe 8-10 people late one night.

Anyways, if it's needed, I have one CF and one RO on loan from a friend who's willing to let it be used. I'm a little hesitant in doing so, seeing as how he'll break my face if anything happens to the sensors, though.

As far as songs go, I'll see if I can't dig out what I brought to Ohayo and contribute them if you guys want 'em.

Must say the DDR room this weekend turned out well.

Yay for having two setups (SM and PS2), pretty short lines, functional pads, plenty of mixes and songs, and cool people. :)

A cabinet would've been nice, but at any rate, not too much to complain about. Tourney was plenty fun, too. ^_^ Wish more people would've entered, though.

The DDR room was certainly acceptable.

two cobalt fluxes would have been nice in leu of a cabinet.

The tournament was fine too as well. A qualifier probably would have been nice, and while the medal was cool, it'd probably be worth seeing if you can get industry related prizes for things as well.

yeah i had a blast in the ddr room as well. well except i pulled a calf muscle lol XD. but everyone was awsome, i wish i made the tournament but i slept in. that liz girl was amazing, but i had alot more fun playing stepmania than ddr supernova XP

Honestly, it probably wouldn't have mattered if we had done a qualifier; about twenty people actually signed up for the tourny, but a good portion of those folks didn't bother to show up. It was probably the timing of the tournament that did it. But still, we had a bunch of good players, we had fun, and it actually got over pretty quickly. BTW, what kind of industry prizes would you like to see?

Also, I really would like to thank everyone who was cooperative and just super cool (and that was most of you, trust me,) AND I want to say that friday night was super fun, when we were all fooling around with mission modes. I'm a little sad that we didn't get a chance to do that the rest of the weekend.

Oh, who knows. Depending on how the bracket would've turned out, there were some decent players who were eliminated in the first round but would've been interesting to watch had they been more evenly matched. And I would've rather liked to play a match against Liz instead of hitting he-who-won in the semis. But! Could've happened anyway. And to agree with cloud, Liz was indeed pretty awesome. ^_^

Qualifier or not, odds are the final result wouldn't have changed.

Yeah, maybe next year we'll figure out qualifiers. Maybe next year it won't be on Sunday when everyone has either left or slept in <.<.

Still, yeah, I'm pretty sure those are the players who would have gotten it. Liz was in there a lot though, even if it wasn't the tourny there was plenty of time to play against her. She rocked, and she was fun (she better get her arse on the forums ;p)

Same XD. I'm silly, I would MUCH rather play on the soft pads in bare feet or socks (which is better for the pads anyway,) than play with shoes on. Well, besides the fact that I didn't even have tennis shoes for the weekend to even play in. Boots, yes, but they weren't very comfortable.

But, as far as cobalts go, it wasn't a bad one; the boards on the corners helped, it was actually possible to tell where ones feet were.

I was in there majority of the time Saturday, hanging out with Liz and David and Lothlin for a while. It was very nice meeting you all. <3 I really didn't have much interest in much else, heh.. ^^;;

And I soooo woulda went to the tournament if my dad went through and took me, but he decided to be mean and not take me. He 'wasn't awake' his wife told me. Much dislike to them both. </3
