I thought I'd start this thread off so all of our fans and people who helped us out at CCC4 and any where else you may have seen us, could find a place to speak their mind. My name is Ryan and beyond me there are 8 other core members of the group. All of us will be popping in here hopefully along with all those people we passed flyers out to. We hope to try to incorporate this into Anime Punch to offer more interactive entertainment. If you want to know more just ask.

So... what exactly do you guys do? Sorry, I wasn't at CCC4. Panda gave me a report though, so I could take an educated guess involving final fantasy stuff though!

So in your words, what do you do?

Hey Ryan! I love Final Fantasy to death and i can get pretty crazy about it sometimes. So seeing you guys do battles was so much fun! :D And you especially, were so seriously in the game it rocked! :P I support you all the way, and i hope I get to see you in more cons.

I love turn-based live action! that's what u mean, right? Would you have to cosplay?

I'm still not exactly clear what you guys want to do?!

You all know the way FF battles are set-up right? 3 on 3. Use magic, weapons, summons, the cool music, victory dances- right. They basically perform live action battles as if you're playing as them in Final Fantasy. Except they dont all have to be from Final Fantasy. There was even Ranma, Chi, a panda... Although, i think it's looks cooler when Final Fantasy/kingdom hearts cosplayers are fighting. It rocks!! :P

Random Battle Gamers is defined as a group of Con goers whom create live mock battles in the RPG random battle style. We have a trained group of cosplayers, otherwise known as the Core members who watch over and participate in the battles. We believe in audience participation in a safe and enjoyable manner, because its all in fun. We do not promote physical contact between participants during any of the events that we run. All weapons are subject to convention rules and are inspected by Core members before use.

The battle system is very easy as long as it is controlled.
All participants are briefed before stepping into a mock battle.
No one has ever been hurt with our group doing this.
Even young otaku ages 8-12 where in the battles and had a blast.
Basicaly think of it as a mock battle using final fantasy 2 kind of attack look (lol)
We are working on giving everyone links to MPEGS, and PICS from colassal's RBG event!

It was the first time I've seen something like this done, let alone participated in it.
(It was at CCC4.) Loads of fun. We kept it going for about 2 hours at least and drew a pretty big crowd. Definantly need to do this again.

I add in my vote to bring the RBG! The random battles were one of the most entertaining fan-events of CCC4, and a lot of people just gathered around to watch when they weren't too busy getting in on the action (like me XD).

The group makes sure to keep everyone safe and provides an interactive event (as well as some pre-choreographed routines) that combine the thrill of RPG turn-based combat with a good amount of comedic randomness.

Please give them a chance! ^_^\\//

right now youma con ant looking to good... we need people to start whoreing us there... and we know we might get paid for this... but not yet... we are just look for two rooms and free entry to the con

As for pay... I really doubt that. Even the guests at cons usually don't get an appearance fee...

I got to do a random battle with a few people at CCC4, and I loved it. It was so much fun, and something that I never knew happened at these conventions. Thanks to Ward, Zell, Cloud, Seph Seph, and Chris-kun (you know who you guys are) I had a great time in the random battle...and you too Reno lol. I can't wait for Ohayocon for more random! Huzzah for random!!!

Hey Panda we're not going anywhere I've been hitting the boards all over so we'll keep more up.

I was apart of the random battles at Tekkoshocon this year, and they were so much fun! Even though it wasn't as controlled as it is now, probably, it was still a great time, everybody was fair and it was all clean fun.

I'd love to see the Random Battles actually have a spot on the events list, though. Just because, a little bit of structure isn't that bad. :)
