This should be in the random section of the forums. It's not really an "art" thing, unless your using your website for your own personal art business, but I didn't see anything like that.

Ditch the scrolling marquee - it's pointless and drives viewers (ie: me) insane. I also suggest lightening your font color up; it's far too close to your background color. I didn't look at much of the content because it was too hard to navigate and read. The layout itself looks okay though. Did you do all of this yourself?

And as for the question of 'should this be in the art section?'... I would say that it's fine here as long as he designed and coded it. Multimedia authoring is its own artform.

This is how it displays on my desktop. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v370/TrentArms/badnews.jpg

First off, you really need to change the font color to something like...#C4C4C4. something light enough to read at all (Seriously, what posessed you to use such a bad combination of colors?) Second, yes, the scrolling text should die a painful death. Third, what's up with all the silly scripts in your source that don't seem to actually do anything? Take that BS out. Fourth, why is it only 800 px wide? I don't think many people actually use that resolution anymore... Fifth, you should probably finish spelling "Characters"...not that anyone can read it as it is. Lastly, CSS are your friend.

hey i could roll with this..lol. i like the way you formated it, altho it would be nice of you to lighten up the font on the side bar. Maybe red?

The majority of the computers at Tri-C (my college) use 800x600, even though I hate it. And I'm stuck with it on my home comp, 'cuz my monitor doesn't support anything higher.

Everything they said, except word it more like a jerk would say it.

Also loose the lame title. Tales of the Lost Angel sounds like a 14 year old girls blog.

Wyatt - March 7, 2006 10:47 PM (GMT)
Oh yeah, the title...guess I had more pressing issues...
Ideally, you wouldn't want to have a fixed width because it'll never be right for everyone.
This is what it looks like with no page style. Much more efficient this way, not to mention readable

well i changed the body bg. is it ok now? you can see the text now. sry guys, i tried, this is my first site i made, go easy on me T_T.

I dunno man, it just doesn't look interesting enough for me to wander through... The site itself just looks too generic...

Kaisermikeb - March 8, 2006 06:53 PM (GMT)
and you still have that scrolling text which to me says "Close this window as fast as you can!"

We're not trying to be jerks, consider this constructive critisisms.

In terms of content you have some problems as well. For one, the title is still "Tales of the Lost Angel"

For two, you have an anime section on your sidebar, but they all link to professional sites, and even if they didn't... if I wanted info on Sailor Moon or DBZ I would have gone to any 11 year old boys fan site in 1996!

The video game sections actually have some real content, but there are plenty of game sites out there that have more than just Zelda and FF stuff.

I guess what I'm asking is "Why should I go to your site?"

well im fixing the scrolling heading, is that better?
