I will be selling giant pixi sticks at AP. I will be selling them for .75 cents each. If anyone is interested, please let me know how many you would like for the weekend. I'll make sure I'll set them aside for you. Also, let me know what flavors too!

What you do in your hotel room is your own business, but the hotel is very strict about this sort of thing. You selling pixi sticks there would be like me selling cokes at McDonalds.
Only Vendors and Artists are permitted to sell ANYTHING in the public areas of the con. The hotel has made that VERY clear, and was VERY nice to allow us the exceptions we already have. While we're fairly lax about things like wearing pants, or in our weapons policy and such, we don't want to abuse the hotels trust and will be enforcing food and vending rules with extreme prejudice.
That's right... sell a snickers and we'll kill you.

As for selling stuff at a con, I was peddling Pocky and Ramune out of my hotel room and from my coat. I felt shady as hell...like some kind of....horrible convention drug dealer. "Hey man...yeah...you" "Want some pocky?!" "First hit is free man, once you snap into this you'll never go back...I've got some good shit"

Kala, did you get a table for AP? I dont remember, them from Ohayocon.
And yes, we do have to follow the rules of the hotel.

Not for AP. I know too many people that are going. But I have a question. Why are people allowed to sell Glo Sticks at cons who don't have a dealers or art table and they never get busted? Isn't it the same thing?

Also because glow sticks help fuel the faggotry of that is the dance. People forget them and realize "OH I SHOULD GET SOME CAUSE ITS A RAVES LOL!". And because it's not a food item which directly competes with what the hotel sells and is BANNED.

The only guy I've ever seen selling Glowsticks is Jon from Fast Food Anime, a vendor who always asks permission before selling things at the con (something you should look into doing in the future).
I you find someone selling things who you suspect is not a legitimate vendor at AP, then please alert security or con-ops.
Besides, when has another con ever set the precident for what we do?
