Has anyone else watched this anime? I'm absolutly loving it thus far. I can't wait until I cosplay Wendy in fall!

Wooh. Finally finished the series. I would highly recommend to watch this series if your a fan of any of the following:

Trigun
Escaflowne
The Big O

This series is truely one of the best series I've seen in a long time.

Just finished the series the other day and I must say I loved the ending. I always enjoyed the overall feel of Gun X Sword and loved the way people interacted with Van, and how he interacted with them.

The 2nd half of the series felt kinda thrown together and some of the focus seemed to shift IMO from Windy and Van to the other cast members who most might of wrote off as extras when they first aired. *chuckles*

Overall I did like the series, I enjoyed the ending even though abit more detail about what happened after would of been nice.

I agree. I wish the series was a bit longer overall, but it was a good one. If you had to compair GunxSword to a series from the past, what series would you compair it to?

The problem with watching ALOT of anime over the past few years you tend to find abit of everything in every series. *chuckles*

I could see some aspects of Trigun with the world and overall story to a degree, I could see the whole guy with 3 girls who want him syndrome, oh and add in your mecha syndrome. I wish there was more out of mecha combat, and I loved every one of the Original 7 pilots, Van included. *chuckles*

I think the most enjoyable character that I liked from GunxSword would be Ray. I love his dark, mysterious, angsty past. Let alone, how could anyone put up with annoying brother such as Joshua? I know I couldn't. So I know how he feels about leaving Joshua alone. I would compaire GunxSword a mix of Gundam, Trigun, Escaflowne and even the Big O. I'm not a huge mecha fan either, but I think GunxSword had the same influnces that Esca had.

Heh see i'm the exact other side of the scale. I disliked Ray because he was the typical Dark, Revenge seeking persona. That could also be because he didn't get any real coverage in the anime series and as he was almost a copy of Van, the reason Van stood out is because he is the main star of the series.

Joshua on the other hand started out as an annoying brat, but by the end of the series I could see that Him and Wendy both are the people that grew the most during the series. Joshua more so than Wendy because of his end of the series transformation. He went from annoying, to becoming a savior for Van, as well as solving other problems that came across.

Wendy just had to evolve past her whole series standpoint and she did. I just hope for an OVA or something to tie up some of the loose ends.

I don't mind mech combat so much, just when they make a focus that there weapons are special I would of loved to have seen more hand to hand. ^^

Yeah, I was kind of disappointed on how many loose ends they did tie up. Especailly with character relationships. An OVA or movie would be nice too, but I got a feeling, they are done with the series. Now I'm on the hunt for another series unfortunally.

This series was great, I hope Adult Swim plays it, it fits well with them.

It did get pretty funky near the end, but doesn't every anime?
I'm still not sure if Birthday was capable of all he was saying, or if it was just his deranged belief. I really liked both the hand to hand and the mecha combat.

I liked that bit with the big rock just before the end, it made laugh. It was just so unexpected and perfect.

I'm glad the big rock was there, because that stupid bitch corrupted Michael so much. As you can tell, I'm pissed about her. I can't stand stupid whores like her. Michael was my favorite for a while, until I saw what he did with her. That kind of shocked me. But Ray is still my current favorite. I absolutly loved him.

Anime characters aren't allowed to have sex? I think he'd rather have sex with a hot chick than risk his life as a virgin... that's what I'd go with. She had reasons of her own to be a bit warped.

Ray's not bad, that whole dream sequence near the end was perfect. I don't think he's my favorite though, Van's extreme simplicity and coolness made the anime. The "Mexican Voltron" as I've heard it called and its pilots were a lot of fun.
