I think that everyone who participated in Anime Punch 2005's cosplay contest has a huge amount of fun! I know we sure had fun doing it!

What do people want for this upcoming year? Suggestions for rules, categories, prizes... whatever.

This year we gave first place winners a box set of anime. Runners up and so on got really various cool stuff, like manga, dvds and other anime related items.

The anime dvd box set is a good idea. I think it would be cool if the person that won got a box set of the anime that contained the charchter they were cosplaying. The box set could be bought after the winner was judged. Plushies are always good runner-up prizes. So is candy.

Only problem with that is...

What if someone cosplaying a character from a fansubbed anime wins?

But yeah, box set would be neat. Plushies, pocky, a few bottles of Bawls for the runners up.

There should definantly be catagories as well. Like, craftsmanship, etc.

Another Problem: People often cosplay as a favorite character, and there's a big chance that they already own the DVD/VHS of the anime. :(

well, luckily for us then that it would totally be impossible to have dvd's ready for every possible character!

Our prizes are going to be whatever we can get. They will not be specific!

If you ask me i think that we should keep going with judging store bought costume
(even though I am the only one who did that) But i won the award for most intuitive costume and i would like to say this to the judges at last years AnimePunch2005, Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You for judging my costume!!!

hmmm...prizes,prizes....*taps chin.*i think that you should have a extra special guest come and only the winners can meet them or something like that.i would also like if some were dvds and mangas....inuyasha dvds and mangas....or paranoia agent!!!!!

Well, difinitly pocky for a prize. And Manga would be good. There are so many everyone's bound to have at least one they need (I need 81 before I finish all my series >.<) but there could be a bunch to choose from. And plushies... all hail the plushies.. xD

Pocky will be free and plentiful at this convention, and therefore not worthy to be a prize!

i could try making a anime punch t-shirt and we could give those out as prizes.....i dont know.O_o

I work for a company that, among other things, does embroidery, screenprinting, cad-cut, and twill. So if Mr. Boss-kaiser-man or any of the other Mr. and Mrs. Boss-people are interested in AP! gear, I'd probably be your guy.

I like the idea of a DVD box set. If the winner dosen't like it he/she can always sell or trade it at the swap meet Panda suggested and get themself something else.
