Title: Anime Fanservice Room
Description: Fanservice Mania

kamon keronji - January 26, 2006 05:41 PM (GMT)
Oh! how abut a anime fanservice room? We show nothing but anime with the most fanservice! For example (just throwing some out)

Eiken
flcl
maburaho
girls bravo
tenjo tenje
Magical Street Shopping Arcade Abenobashi
Mahoromatic
Hellsing
gravion zwei
Tenchi Muyo
Tenchi Muyo Gxp

And thats Just off the top of my head.

Misato_Katsuragi - January 26, 2006 09:39 PM (GMT)
Whoa. Fanservice room? Won't you be getting enough with all the ladies in small costumes?? ^_^

I don't really think it's a bad idea, but try for some stuff that not a lot of people have seen, y'know? I mean, most of us have seen FLCL (at least 98% of us).

Play around on the net for a couple of hours, and see what you can come up with, is my suggestion.

Kaisermikeb - January 26, 2006 10:11 PM (GMT)
The problem with fanservice is that most shows that have a lot of fanservice are also really bad. I like that Kamon uses the same definition of fanservice that I do though ^_^ (Something that has a lot of fans want to see, not just panties), as evidenced by him including Hellsing and FLCL on the list!

I WILL show Elfen Leid as it is great and awesome and I have all of it. FLCL we definatly won't be showing because we have a strict "We don't show stuff that is currently on TV" policy.

We'll probably show a few fan service shows, but remember, this con isn't just a con, it's a statement! We're not going to show ANYTHING we won't defend!

kalajessta - January 26, 2006 10:59 PM (GMT)
I really don't see a point in a "fanservice" room either because any anime just about can be considered fan service. Why not just go to the hentai room when they are showing hentai? You'll get your service there.

kamon keronji - January 27, 2006 12:30 AM (GMT)
Becuse All that is about is SEX! SEX! SEX! SEX! and more SEX!!!!

Proman - January 27, 2006 12:58 AM (GMT)
As opposed to what?

kamon keronji - January 27, 2006 01:14 AM (GMT)
what I meant by that was

sexual content fine

Seeing a mans dick and accual sex scenes NO THANKS!

see my point?

kalajessta - January 27, 2006 01:17 AM (GMT)
Its blurred out in most anime now a days anyway, including yaoi. It's rather amusing to watch sometimes. Especially since there's nothing "there".

FLCL we definatly won't be showing because we have a strict "We don't show stuff that is currently on TV" policy.

We do? What does "currently on tv" even mean these days? The Cartoon Network rotates stuff in and out pretty often (and remember you're the big advocate of the retro-Toonami block!). Does Tech TV count? And have you seen what they show these days on the channel formerly known as the International Channel? Not to mention the Anime Network....

It's a new era, one where I can be flipping channels and stumble across Metropolis, Black Jack, or the Utena movie. While we should generally avoid stuff on Adult Swim and the like, a strict policy goes too far - if it needs to be shown, I'm not going to be disuaded just because AZNTV showed it at 3 AM the other week.

As for FLCL itself, I mostly concur on not showing it (though our con is just so furi-kuri...). However, it may be in the documentary room with Tsurumaki's commentary.

Here we are in perfect agreement.

Kiddy Grade and Ikkitousen are a couple of fanservicy anime that aren't on TV right now. Show them.

The content in all the hentai makes me quiver becuse it is too dirty for my tastes ok? That is why I want the animefanservice room so the ones who like fanservice but NOT hentai fanservice can watch. Which in my opinion hentai fanservice is too much.I mean think about it. what would happen if you had a girl with you or your mother (lets hope NOT) saw you watching that stuff. Your mom would do god knows what and the girl you were with would never speak to you again. Plus think what would happen if word got out about it? You would be labled a porn freak for the rest of your miserable life.

Proman - January 29, 2006 09:53 PM (GMT)
Who in their right mind would take his or her mom to the Hentai room in the first place? Paging Dr. Freud...

As for a gf being there, I don't think it's such a big deal really. I've seen that happen. Remember: couples that watch hentai together, stay together :P.

And I wouldn't worry about the word getting out. Not at a time when so many people proudly go around wearing "Hentai: My Anti-Drug" ;). Also, most people who come to anime conventions aren't so judgemental. And wouldn't they have to be in a Hentai room themsevles, in order to know who else is in it?

It's totaly cool if Hentai, is not your thing. Anime conventions are cool because they give you flexibility to try many things, find what you like and have fun with it.

Pro(there are worse labels then "pr0n freak" out there)man

Then My job is done

"laughs"

Misato_Katsuragi - January 30, 2006 10:35 PM (GMT)
My mom watches hentai... of course she's 33, and it's not as scary as some people's mothers watching it...

She thinks it's funny...

Speaking of anime network, what cable provider offers it? I have to get it when I move out. I know Time warner doesn't offer it.

Mishikotoko - January 31, 2006 12:05 AM (GMT)
Time Warner does offer Anime Network on Demand though. ^_^ (I think, but it is only in certain locations.)

rpb3000 - January 31, 2006 07:23 PM (GMT)
Yeah, we got ANoD in Mechanicsburg through Time Warner, and that's in like the middle of nowhere. So it's pretty widely available I'll bet.

Mishikotoko - January 31, 2006 07:24 PM (GMT)
Well it is not out where I live, but I know some places (or all of) columbus has the anime network on demand.

kamon keronji - February 1, 2006 06:36 PM (GMT)
I live In lancaster and they have ANoD. But They should really get anime networks
24/7 Channel. Becuse In my opinon Anime Network On Demand is very dull compared to Anime Network 24/7. I mean When I was In Pickerington the 24/7 Channel was the bomb. But Now It is Not so great becuse I have the on demand.
Man I wish time warner would go to the 24/7 network and leave the on demand to collect dust. I mean What you see on the 24/7 That is a year old and then when its taken off the 24/7 network It goes to the On demand network. Talk about major bordem.

Mishikotoko - February 1, 2006 07:12 PM (GMT)
well, be glad you have that at least. ^_^

Oh and I think they will get it, when they think the demand for it is great enough.
