I just remembered something...

At Ikasu con last time, we made a board with all the user names and pictures of the people that were on the forums on their website. Maybe that would be a good way for us all to meet up once we get to con, so we can actually see the people we've been talking to for so many months.

I'd do the whole thing, if you guys think it's a good idea. I don't mind, I love making cool poster board thingies!!

I think it is an idea that involves too much work personally. We can have forum meetups, which isn't a bad idea as well. Another way to recongize forum people (in example to cosplay.com) is to have a certain color ribbon attached to you to tell others that you belong to the forums. The idea kind of worked at Sugoi and kind of didn't.

As long as you don't bully people into send you the photos I'm fine with it. A ribbon isn't a bad idea either.

Do you really think I would show up proudly wearing "I am Dildodo" ribbon? I wouldn't want people to freak out on me or anything. I can't reveal my true identity for the fear of rotten eggs being thrown in my direction.

I think the idea is cool! We did it at the second ohayocon. ^^

So you know we should set up a forum meetup. Make a bilboard with the names of members, and pics on it. We could just decide to wear a certain color of ribbon, or anything. ^_^

I think all of the ideas sound good.

Like I said, I'd do all of the handy work with the billboard or whatever.

The ribbons are a cool idea too. I don't know, I'd just like to know who I'm talking to, personally.

And Dildodo, I don't think anyone would throw anything at you. I wouldn't, anyways. And besides, do you really think anyone hates you enough to keep rotting eggs for any period of time, just so they can hit you with them? I don't really.

Anywho, I'm not going to break anyone's kneecaps if they don't send me a pic of themselves, but I thought it was a nifty idea, so I put it out there.

And my rotten eggs comment wasn't meant to be taken literally. Ijust thing a lot of people would have a bad attitude towards me if they knew who I was (something I'm completely cool with and even encourage). And, besides, I'd much rather people guessed who I am based on my behavior. It's a hell of a lot more fun this way.

I could help out with the bullentin and the ribbons. Like they're forum name could be on the ribbon and if they came and got the ribbon with their name on it there could be like a special drawing just for the ones who show up.

That sounds like fun ^_^ So who wants to really organize this, and instruct us forumfolk on what we need to do?

I won't be there until Saturday...Friday I have to much stuff going. But I could do it when I get to the con Saturday morning.

Saturday is a better time for everyone. I know at Ohayo they tried two-three attempts at a forum meetup, but I know the one on Friday fell through and Sunday no one showed up.

I talked to Panda so he can bring it up tomorrow. Maybe we can get a table by the pre reg/reg place.

No to the table thing, we barely have space for reg as is.

Our colors would be Scarlet and Grey. The red is far and away more of our color than grey though.

The only problem with using red ribbon though is that everyone will think we're cosplaying the Advent Children version of our costumes! Like Kala would be the AC Al, and I would be the AC conchair!

Fine then. But we still might do the ribbon thing, at some point.

There are very few conchairs in Advent Children.

Animefreak. I was planning on making some more forum ID's but for AP. I know I made the templates for Ohayocon, and I thought about it for this convention.

Uhh, I don't actually have any form of digital photo...

well, I can make badge templates, with pictures that you yourself choose, or with a picture of you. I mean I can make them have a picture of you, or have your av on it. In the background I can put a picture of your choice, and make the badge say what you want it to. I can make general ones, which say "hello my name is ____" so that they can be used for many conventions. I made them for Ohayocon, and most of them said something along the lines of "hello my name is ______ on the Ohayocon Forums."

actually I am getting the internet in the morning tomarrow at my house, so it will be easier for me to make them, and link them to people.

As for the ribbon thing...If red is a problem, and we need something which will stand out, why dont we try a neon color?

Hrm. It'd be cool to have a badge with your avatar on it, because I know a lot of you more by your avatars then your board names! 'cuz I'm sad like that.

Let's see... so at AP I'll have my AP badge, my staff armband, my SPORC badge, and maybe possibly a forum ribbon and badge? Shiny.

Good point but many people do have avatars or could find or make one in the time we have left I might be cosplaying if I get a job and some money to buy my cosplay costumes. But I don't plan on being there till Friday afternoon do to school. :alco:

Anyways, enough of that. I'm thinking everyone should pick out a custom picture, maybe a character that they are fond of, or whatever... (I want Misato, of course.)

Not everyone cosplays, and not everyone has an av, so I think this may be the best idea. I might be able to come by some badge holders, but don't count on me to print anything. I don't have my own computer at the moment.

Misato is thinking along the right lines.

The true Anime Punch way of doing things would be to tell people that they could email her an image to go with their name, but not give any requirements on what kind of image. Be it photo, avitar, icon, cosplay, or whatever.
