Just this past weekend it was announced that Full Moon wo Sagashite is finally licensed in the US! Its one of my favorite animes of all time, so I'm super excited. And if anyone read or is reading the manga, I say, the anime is 10 times better, even though the anime has some silly filler episodes in the beginning which is annoying.
It was licensed by Viz which hopefully won't be do bad. The show is all about music so I hope they don't change the soundtrack to something stupid. Also, I would like it so they don't come out 3 episodes per 25 dollar DVD like usual. But who know about that.
But its definate shojou, so if you're into that, check it out when it comes out on DVD!

Heh... you know VHS used to be 26 for two episodes, no features!
not that I mind getting more than 3 episodes on a disk though...

Yeah, and I guess we're lucky to not be in Japan. 40-50 a piece, gah. Of course, I have one imported Japanese DVD, but I got it a long time ago when it was on sale at a site.
But still, I'd like more per disk. Much more cost effiencet.

Yeah, I'm all for cost-effectiveness, but I might have to check that out, I'm fond of good Shojo at least, and I've heard about this one a few times.

I'm curious to see what companies are gonna do with the extra disk space on the upcoming Blu-Ray DVDs and how much extra they're gonna charge us for them.

Good point... I see great potential for Blu-Ray dvds, but I also have a feeling that only pirates will ever truly utilize that potential, and that regular DVDs will remain much the same. HK bootlegs will just put the entire series on one disc now.

I heard rumors that AIR was going to be one of the first animes on BluRay. But that could have just been in Japan.
I'd like to see it in high-def, but I'm not sure what all they could do with it.. hmmm
