As long as we own the original game can we hook up a tv to a rig and pound out some old school games?

Seriously nothing beats Neo Geo.

it would be cool, I'll have to see if we could track one down.

It does sound good, arcade games seem to do even better when played among groups of people. Especially if said rig has some nice controls, I know I haven't gotten into any control panel making myself, stuck to the cheaper and easier console controller adapters.

Ah, we could probably just break out the USB adapters and use PS2 controllers ((Or the arcade style controllers that plug into the ps2)) for the games since they're quite nice for fighting games and the like. MAME is an excellent and easy emulator to use We could also use this to emulate multiple versions of beatmania, and I'm pretty sure damn near any other arcade game.

Perfect by me, I'm more used to using dual shock controllers than actual arcade controls by far, mainly thanks to said emulators and USB adaptors. It does up the versatility as well, as many different games as it would be able to play.
